Perfect accommodation for 2 friends on a week long winter climbing and skiing trip

The property was secure and well located for walking into town (Black Isle always our fav) as well as accessing the mountains. It is very warm so easy to dry kit. Well equipped for cooking. Beds comfy. Plenty of space, perfect for 2 climbing buddies. We’ll be back next year.

Some won’t like the parking, which is only a short walk downhill in the Spar car park, but easily accessed by the back gate. We found it a trivial inconvenience, if that. Unloaded kit (we had a lot) by parking on the main road pavement with hazards on for short time and likewise when we left. Don’t let it put you off.

Fantastic place.

The house was lovely and warm, immaculately clean, and a 5 minute walk from the centre. It is spacious and has all the facilities you could require. We are all returning in the spring.

One tiny criticism, could we have a mirror above the basin in the bathroom.

Nice place for the price but be prepared to climb a few steps

The apartment was nice with plenty of room for the three of us, and well taken care of.

It was a bit of a struggle getting to the apartment since you had to park at a market at the bottom of the hill and drag your luggage up steps and then a sloped path and more steps to get into the apartment.

The accommodation was lovely, warm and clean and had stunning views over the water and hills. Less than a 10minute walk to the bars/restaurants. Great base for climbing Ben Nevis as less than a 10minute drive to the car park. Kitchen had everything we needed. Shower was lovely and warm. 10/10

Well appointed comfortable apartment, good kitchen, good sized bedrooms.

Sofa was soft. Master bed mattress was also soft. Car parking about 60 metres away all uphill to the apartment. Not easy to access the apartment with luggage. Be careful opening windows.

The rooms smelt of damp/mould Terrible location in a very run down area, people walking through the garden, residents in the above flat very noisy. Only got the instructions on the day how to get to the property, which was to park in a spa car park nearby and walk up some steps - not ideal for people with mobility issues. The whole area was very scruffy, litter everywhere. Not far from the town but the setting was awful. Should not be rented out. Washing machine but no drying facilities

Excellent property, we had a very comfortable stay. Very clean. Great location. Just a few stairs to get to the property which might not suit everyone but didn’t bother us. It was perfect for us. Would definitely go back.

Clean but needs some improvements.

Overall space for the three of us and comfortable lounge area.

Double bed needs replacing. It is not comfortable at all. Felt like we would either roll off the edge or into the middle. Also a couple of tripping hazards between rooms - particularly into the kitchen where one of us tripped carrying bags and fell. Car parking is off site about two minutes walk up some stairs and a quite steep sloping path.

Mattresses desperately need to be replaced you should not be able to feel the springs. Very challenging to get luggage up to accomodation as no access to front as you are not allowed to park at the front and a walk up steps and pathway in the rain is very challenging.

The parking is poor. You park at the Spar, go up a steep flight of stairs and walk past 2 other houses, then up another flight of stairs. It’s not good for handicapped or folks who don’t walk much and it’s really painful to get large suitcases up to it.

up a very steep hill. wouldn’t describe it as in the heart of fort William though I accept it was a walkable distance. having people above us was a bit noisy on the second evening i found the key holder a bit tricky to work

Great place to stay in Fort William (in walking distance of city center). We stayed there for two nights to climb Ben Nevis (you'll need a car from the flat to the start of the walk). The flat was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed during our stay. While there is no parking attached to the house, we never had issues parking next to the Spar (2 mins walk from the flat).

The parking area and the path to the properties. it’s actually quite difficult to reach the house if you bring a lot of luggage since we need to climb few stairs to find the house. the parking area is not located in front of the house. Otherwise, everything is good
