Arden on Albert

The property was exceptionally clean and very well stocked with all essentials. The location was great being an easy walk both into the town centre or onto the Westwood. Simon the caretaker was very responsive and the information provided was good.

The only thing that was not quite right was the very squeaky bed to the main bedroom but the property overall was very good.

Very central. Exceptionally clean. Loads of thoughtful touches such as coffee pods and milk. Gorgeous kitchen. The house overall was bigger than it looks in the photos. Great communication from Simon. Lots of helpful info in the file and guest book. Gorgeous kitchen. Great showers and lovely bog, soft bath sheets. The wifi was good and it was a very pretty street with clear instructions on how to get there. I have already recommended it to friends and would happily stay again. The courtyard was a pretty suntrap and the house had everything you need for a short or long stay. Unlike many places, there was plenty of crockery - particularly mugs. We also liked the eco approach to bedding and linen.

It was very hot and the duvets were too thick and heavy. We had trouble opening and closing the sash windows. A lock on the wc would be good and having to access the bathroom via a bedroom might not work for everyone. There was almost too much info in the guestbook which meant that a couple of contradictory bits of info had crept in. Eg What to do with rubbish. Bear in mind that as it's an old house, noise can travel through the walls from the neighbours.
