Lovely Stay

Gideon was very friendly and nothing was any trouble. We stayed over Christmas and was very happy we had all the cooking utensils you could ever need and more. The villa is very spacious and near Montreux.

Apart from the statement above, we enjoyed our stay in the villa as it was very convenient to get to other places in Swi

The kitchen was wonderful for us to cook our daily meals and many utensils were provided. The children enjoyed the cold winter garden playing ping pong. There was a farm nearby and Montreux is a few minutes away. The villa is accessible by car. Didn’t see a train station nearby though.

We still felt cold even with the heater turned on. There was only one toilet for showering. The other toilet is only a half toilet.

A nice Villa, disturbed by the Owner

We wanted to spend two days away in Switzerland and came across this Villa, which had fantastic reviews. We were therefore, very surprised what followed next. We arrived at this Villa and the patio door did not lock. We called the owner (Gideon) and he stated that there is nothing to worry, as it is a very safe environment and it can stay unlocked. He stated that he wanted to come in the night and check the light appliances and I should park my car away from the garage, as it is his place. During the night, we noticed lights coming through the window, through the garden, as it was switching on and off, which disturbed our sleep. We heard at night and during the very early morning hours, noises, such as a running washing machine and loud maintenance being done. When we woke up, I realised that his car was still parked before the garage and he went shortly after, 9am. We let him know, that we cannot tolerate, even if it is the owner, to come in the house or the garage (as he stated, he stays there sometimes). His reply, by WhatsApp (I still have the copy), was like a mobster. He literally stated, that he comes, with or without his assistant and whenever he likes to the place, as it his Villa. He even stated that we left one light on, so he was observing us, presumably all night and stated that we are paying very little money for this luxury Villa. On top of this, he stated, why are you so worried about me coming to my Villa and quite literally stated and asked “Are you doing something illegal at the house?”. So the logic from the owner appears to be, you either accept him coming whenever he likes, alone or with someone and doing whatever he likes, one must be doing something illegal and he needs to investigate it. We paid the regular price of over 200 Euros per night, which I do not think is too cheap. The fees for the Villa is not the issue of the customer and we are not responsible for this and the owner cannot make the excuse that they can suddenly invite them in.

My partner was very scared, that unknown men are coming to the house at night and could not sleep and I had to threaten him many times with the police, if he does this. This person is so unprofessional, that he stated that he will call the police for us, while we were out and we had to cut our activity short and drive back to the house. I let him know, that we are coming to the house, so that he can explain to the Police any potential illegal activity and we were going to tell them, that even as an owner, you cannot come to your property you are renting, as it pleases you. He suddenly became more cautious and stated; maybe he can come later, if we leave earlier. When we arrived at the property, there was no Gideon and no police and I called him many times. It was a disgrace, wasting our time! I called him many times, but he excused it with, I am in a meeting. We had only 2 Days in Switzerland; I was travelling from Germany and had to pick up my partner from Austria and we drove to Switzerland then and this is what we were confronted with. If the owner is able to come to the Villa, there is no need to rent it out, as I cannot imagine many people being able tolerate that privacy infringement. We cannot explain that strange behaviour by the owner and it appears to have happened only to us. I would just like to mention this, if you are booking this property, there might be chance that this happens to you too, so be cautious.

A Perfect Stay in Montreux & surrounding places– Exceeded All Expectations!

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at this villa! Despite it being a last-minute booking, everything was spotless, well-prepared, and perfectly in place by the time we arrived. The check-in and check-out process was incredibly smooth and hassle-free. The villa itself has stunning views of Mountains— is cozy, spacious, and thoughtfully designed. Loved the large garden which was seamlessly connected to another large entertainment area that had something for everyone. Whether it was TV for binge watching, table tennis, books, puzzles, or board games, the space catered to guests of all ages and interests. The kitchen was another standout feature — fully stocked with not just all the essential appliances (which looked brand new, by the way), but also a wide array of spices, sauces and many daily-use food items. Beds, bathrooms & overall house were super clean & comfortable. We had a wheelchair bound member with us who no problems to stay & move around. It truly felt like a home away from home. Location-wise, the villa is 10mins drive to Chateau De Chillon & other major tourist spots in Montreux are ~15mins away and a supermarket is also close by. Special mention to our host, who was super friendly, incredibly helpful, and always available to ensure we had everything we needed. He went above and beyond to make sure our stay was as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. All in all, this villa was a gem of a find. Highly recommend to all.

Stunning views, spacious and a warm welcome!

The house is well located, with great Mountain views. The city is quiet but with good access to Montreux and others around. Gideon has given us a very warm welcome and a tour of the house. Explained all we needed to know, including things to do in the area. The place is spacious, with tennis table and games that have been really fun to do with the family. He’s been so careful on the details with extra blankets, slippers for the whole family, coffee, tea and letting us use some of the nice special spices he’s got for our recipes. We had a power shortage at some point and he promptly helped us resolved on a Christmas Eve, we were grateful for the stay at such nice place.
