The Lido itself was absolutely stunning, and the guesthouse was just across the road. The rooms were beautiful done and there were thoughtful touches around the room. The beds were extremely comfortable and we loved every minute of it. The breakfast and dinner was some of the nicest food I’ve had in a long time.

That it would have in included free use of pool had we booked direct. However because we booked through booking we were charged an extra £15 each. That said we really made the most of it and the pool is fantastic. Couldn’t have hoped for a more gorgeous physical environment to spend a hot weekend. Real bonus.
It’s just a shame staff weren’t very friendly or at all welcoming. Felt rather like an inconvenience. One member of staff in the restaurant area was brilliant and told us we had a discount on food, but the day before no one had told us that when we spent quite a lot of money. The hotel wasn’t really a hotel as such but really some rooms opposite. It was clean and there was attention to design, but I wouldn’t choose to stay there was it not for the pool.

Comfortable bed, bedding and towels fab. Food at The Lido was lovely!
Size of bathroom, hard to shave with size and lighting. The Lido could be tidier, things just felt a little too laid back.
