Great location and cheap prices, room was quite shabby.
Beds were clean and fairly comfortable. Room had most facilities needed.
The room was very shabby, there were marks on walls and carpet. Blinds in bathroom were broken.

I’d come back again!
I’ve spent two nights at The Regency, i’ve really appreciated the staff, the receptionist Komal has been extremely nice to me providing with a spare heater since my room was cold. The hotel is in a quiet street, close to restaurants and supermarkets. I’d definitely come back in the future! Thanks again Komal for your kindness :)
there wasn’t a lift and my room was on third floor. Apart from that everything was great!

Great locatuon and great surroundings such as art on walls .
It was a fabulous bargain and great location . We went to Abba and Queen by candlelight and location and Thai restraunt was great near by and great night life afterwards too !
No views …but in a city and no vegan oat milks in rooms like Wetherspoons ,but great price , and bathroom easy to soak floor , but everything else lovely . Staff weren’t overly friendly unless you spoke to them ,but i guess busy and hardworking ,as it is in all hotels off this class !

Same as other reviews, cheap but dirty. And no parking outside. Its permit holder only!
The property was walking distance to the city centre. The bedding and towels were clean.
The whole property from communal areas down to the room and bathroom were very unhygienic. Blood splodges on the stairs, pubic hair in the shower tray, dirty toilet pan!! Dust everywhere.

Great location, clean, comfy beds, lovely price - what's not to like? unless it's the Ritz you want!
The staff we met on arrival were friendly, but as we were walking up the stairs we were wondering what on earth kind of place this was. It didn't seem very appealing. Once in the room that changed. It was clean and bright with comfy beds. The window could be opened not too much, not too little and overnight it was quiet even at the weekend - earlier in the evenings it can seem like party central. There is also a great pub / place to eat just across the road. Don't expect 5 or even 4 star luxury for this price, but we would definitely stay here again.
We couldn't get the TV to work (something to do with the internet), which could have been a problem if we were short of other entertainment. The heated towel rail in the shower room didn't work but the radiator in the bedroom did. The management said they had just taken over and were getting round to all these things. They didn't manage either of them in the 3 days we were there.

Was good for the price.
How close to the shops and the fact you didn't need to worry about cards to get in your room. Bedding was clean and parking was great for price.
Bathroom very narrow and only 1 handle to close glass shower. the bed felt lumpy the carpet didn't look very clean on arrival and even with the window shut I woke shivering in the early mornings/night

Dreadful
Not much
Windows have blocks screwed in so they don’t shut, which is ridiculous and freezing in January! The radiator didn’t work. The hot water actually ran out during a shower as though it was 1985. Carpets are filthy and stained. There were bags of litter and used takeaway boxes outside one of the rooms for the entire weekend. Staff were non-existent and we were charged £10 per night to use a parking space. Avoid this place like the plague!
