DN Holiday House

Great location, right in the city center. The apartment is clean and features a modern design. A huge plus is the clothes dryer—I’ve used one myself for years and consider it a real convenience that makes life much more comfortable, especially on vacation when you have a limited amount of clothing with you. :) The owner was very helpful, checking in a few times to make sure everything was okay. He also provided cold water and coffee for the machine as a welcome gift—a very nice touch.

The size of the fridge for six people is a bit of a joke. The shower water is practically never warm, while the water from the kitchen tap is never cold... There is no air conditioning in the kitchen, making it hard to be in there at pretty much any time of day. The apartment is missing a few things, like coffee cups (there were only disposable plastic ones), wine glasses etc.. They might be minor details, but they are a bit annoying. The stairs in the stairwell are somewhat dangerous. This is especially true for children—there is a gap at one point, and there are no railings or safety barriers. A small child could fall out, and it is frightening to think what might happen...

The apartments are in the heart of the city. Everywhere is within walking distance. Very well equipped. Comfortable 2 bedrooms + 2 bathrooms. Air conditioning, washing machine and dryer, kettle, coffee machine, iron - all great. Very kind and helpful owners who are easy to reach if you need anything.

The cooking stove should be replaced. It took us twenty minutes to prepare scrambled eggs for the children.

Facilities, location

Upon my arrival, the apartment reeked of cigarette smoke despite being listed as a non-smoking property. To make matters worse, all the windows were closed and copious amounts of air freshener spray had been used to (unsuccessfully) mask the cigarette smell. When I messaged the host about the smell, he responded he "normally" doesn't allow smoking and that he's sorry "if" I smelled cigarettes. I then pointed out there were 3 ashtrays in the apartment (see pics), and he promptly changed the subject.
