Location - perfect to everything within walking distance to attractions we wanted to visit Balcony - awesome enjoyed watching the scenery below us, ample space to relax, hang washing Bathroom - great Bed - comfortable to sleep in, Kitchen - fridge good size, sink good size, everything we needed

No instructions on washing machine and microwave even though we still used them it would have been helpful. Pillow too hard,

The apartment is compact but has everything you need. the kitchen is well laid out and they have left shampoo and shower gel in the bathrooms together with dishwasher tabs and laundry detergent ( little tip here, leave fabric conditioner as well). The apartment has underfloor cooling which works very well, leaving the whole place cool without the rush of cold air and often sore throats that you get from regular aircon. I think this runs as underfloor eating in the winter. If you do want a little air blowing on you, they have supplied fans for the bedrooms. The terrace has a view of the main entrance to Plaza Real and it couldn't be more centrally located. Location here really is an 11!. There is a Carrefour Express in an adjacent building which is massively convenient for anything you might need short of a major shop. The apartment uses real keys and its a lot easier than faffing about with electronic systems. The Wifi is fine.

So... the main bedroom has a very low ceiling, perhaps as low as 190cm or 6'4". I am 183cm and I found it a little claustrophobic, the small hall into the ensuite has a beam that is about 178cm or 5'10" off the floor and I'm taller than that and just knew that I would crack my head on the beam when going to the loo in the middle of the night, so this ruled out that bedroom for me. This is unfortunate as the ensuite is the only shower big enough for me to get in, close the shower door and be able to move my hands enough to wash. It's not spacious, but it is actually possible to close the door and move arms and hands. The other bathroom and toilet has a shower that is so small that I couldn't close the door and had I been able to close the door, my arms would have been pinned to my sides. This trip was with my daughter, so she got the room with the ensuite, and had to vacate the bedroom when I needed to shower. If you are of an..... "American build", you wont fit in either shower or be able to wash in them. If you are of a "Dutch height", this is effectively a one bedroom apartment. If there are up to four of you and you are all slim and about 170cm or 5'7" tall you will do fine. The apartment is on the 4th floor and has a lift, but you still need to climb 1 flight of stairs to get from the landing to the front door.

The location is good, near the royal castle and plaza mayor. The flat has a nice balcony and is in good condition, looks renovated in 2025. The bed was comfortable. Nice towels.

The main problem with the flat is the size: it is much smaller than it looks in the pictures. The photos are a bit misleading: the bed folds down and takes up all the space of the room. If you want to cook there is no place to sit.
