The historic Palazzo Carpe Diem is a gem. Breakfast, which includes a flaky croissant and cappuccino, is in the cafe downstairs. It was a real plus to be able to do our laundry onsite; the hotel provides the detergent (note: the dryer part of the laundry machine is not very strong, so they provided a drying rack to finish drying our clothes in our unit ... no big deal). Our comfortable 2-bathroom apartment on the 2nd floor had a great view of the Prato della Valle; the design was beautiful maintaining the historic beams. Yes, the elevator is a bit slow, but to have an elevator in an historic building is a luxury. Such superb service: We were able to drop off our luggage at 11:00am. The owner saved us ... she helped us arrange a last minute early transfer to the Venice Airport as we had to move our flight to avoid the Lufthansa pilots' strike. Access to the building and apartment was easy as clear; instructional videos were provided in advance and registration was done in advance online. Two grocery stores (Despar directly across the Palazzo della Valle & a Pam (we found distilled water here for a CPAP machine in the laundry detergent area) on Via Roma were <5 minute walk). Many gelaterias, stores, restaurants, trams are around the corner or down the street. Cafe Pedrocchi, the Palazzo Bo University of Padua tour, the markets in the Piazzas all within a 11-minute walk. Scrovegni Chapel is an easy 15-minute walk. The bed was comfortable and the apartment was very clean and well stocked. Taxis could drive right to the front of the Palazzo for easy pick up and drop offs. The apartment with the City View was worth the extra price if you are staying multiple nights. If we were return to Padua, we would not look elsewhere. Don't hesitate, book now.

Everything was excellent. The check-in process was clearly explained and very smooth, including detailed instructions about parking options, which was very helpful. The apartment is a beautiful blend of historical charm and modern design, very clean and well maintained. We were also pleasantly surprised with a small welcome gift, and the host was extremely kind and welcoming.

Beautiful apartment tastefully decorated and well equipped. Really comfy bed and sofa and great bathroom with very large shower.
In a perfect location with small balcony overlooking the park. Just a short stroll from the city centre.
Would highly recommend this apartment for a stay in Padova.
