Die Zimmer waren groß, gute ruhige Lage mit Parkplätzen vor der Tür.

Die Wände sind übersät mit toten Mücken und es kommen viele Mücken ins Zimmer. Wie wärs mit Fliegengitter am Fenster? Gestank aus dem Abfluss in der Dusche.

Werf 72 is a reasonable walk from Bruges centre, flat and easy to find. The bus services from the railway station are frequent and to navigate. The free ( to over 65s) city shuttle stops close by and can take one to and from the station. Werf 72 is a house with narrow, steep stairs - unpromising! My room at the top had plenty of light, was of decent size with shower and lavatory within. The kitchen, though small had all I needed to make basic meals. Two types of coffee machines, microwave, stovetop etc. The winner was the washing machine: the 40 minute cycled washed and dried the clothes beautifully. I didn't meet any staff but the emailed communications were prompt and informative. The immediate is inner suburban, very quiet. An excellent Carrefour supermarket is a shirt walk away. I had a superb pasta on Ezelstraat, a few minutes along on the RHS. All up, the accommodation is fine if your needs are basic. I was happy with it

I never worked out how to lock the room. Neither did the younger chaps in the lower rooms.

The location was at a reasonable distance from the main city center.

The toilet and washroom were in two separate rooms, which I didn’t like, and I expected the wash basin to be inside a combined bathroom. This layout wasn’t shown or mentioned in the room images. The wash basin was outside, and it frequently flooded, with water taking several minutes to drain. The toilet had no exhaust or ventilation and smelled unpleasant. The bathroom did have an exhaust, but it still had a strong foul smell, which made the stay uncomfortable. The kitchen was located separately, down a few steps and then back up, and appeared to be a shared kitchen. I didn’t use any of the kitchen items. The stairs were steep and dark, with no lights on when we first arrived. Most issues were manageable, but the lack of ventilation in the toilet and the persistent foul smell in the bathroom were unacceptable.
