Excellently situated, quite close to park and ride. We took our tandem, so parked, and rode to the hotel, able to store the bike securely across the road in a courtyard. Ample buffet breakfast.
Small attic room was quite tired, and need quite a bit of work, but then the price reflected this, so musn't grumble.

Lovely clean hotel with a lovely continental breakfast which had a lot of variety Fleur & her staff were so helpful with the ways round Bruge will definitely be staying there again on our next visit

We stayed for two nights. On the second day, the owner forced us to move to another room without our consent. The room had no lighting or bathroom doors. Instead of sightseeing, which was our allotted day, we ran up and down the stairs with our suitcases and waited three hours for the room to be ready.

The host was really nice and helpful with the parking. The common area was also cute.
Our room didn’t have a picture on Booking. I went ahead and checked their website and assumed it would be one of the family rooms on their website. It wasn’t, and what a mistake this was on my part to continue with the booking.
The room was like a room for the staff at the back, behind the kitchen. Don’t get me wrong, it was very nicely decorated. BUT the shower, the toilet and the sink were in separate places between two connected rooms and the toilet had an accordion door -which meant you could hear anything- and the shower had only a curtain.
Even though this was a family room, we were traveling as mum-kid-uncle, and this made us very uncomfortable. Ask if your bathroom has a door to keep things private when you don’t see the pics of a room 🤦♀️ I wanted to ask for a change in the rooms, I realized we would need to use “the slippers” which is another story about Brugge hotels apparently.
The room smelt terribly damp, and a running humidifier welcomed us when we entered the room. For one night, I had to stop it because it was a bit loud, and the humidity on the display went up to 88 in the morning. I get it, it’s next to canals, and when humidifier ran-used noise cancelling headphones next night- it was fine.
The breakfast was also mediocre. Coffee was quite bad, and it overall wasn’t worth 20eur.
The only thing about this place was the host lady. She was really nice to chat to and was very helpful with the parking. But I don’t think this would make up the lack of information of the room, and the overall disappointment of our group I’m afraid.

Property was on the outskirts of Bruge but it’s a tiny place. Hotel was on the transport links so easy to get to. The staff were lovely and helpful.

The breakfast was very good (especially lots of sweet dishes). The owner was also very friendly and helpful. The location was great, about a 10-minute walk to the city centre.
Room 7 was too small for two people. The extremly small bathroom only had a sliding folding door, which unfortunately did not provide any privacy (you couldn't see the other person, but you could hear everything). In general the room was extremely small, so that it was difficult to put down your suitcases. If you have large luggage, you have to carry it up a steep and narrow staircase three floors (old building). According to the escape plan, the other rooms were apparently significantly larger, but we would only recommend room 7 for a single person. In terms of furnishings, the room unfortunately looked like a servant's room, but for the low price in Bruges, you can stay there for a night.

Everything was lovely. Fleur, who was the host was really warm, attentive and informative. The breakfast was lovely, good value for the money. The environment was really warm, enough space for staying 1 night. The bed was really comfortable. You only have to remove your shoes when going to your room but not problem at all.
If we come back we'll be back to this lovely and personalised hotel
Nothing that we dislike. Only they can improve the light of the bathroom, that's all.

The room was spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean. It had everything I needed from toiletries and lots of soft towels to a room fan for the heat and a plug in to keep the mosquitos out (which was great as I had no idea Bruges had mosquitos and so was unprepared). The bed was very comfortable and had plenty of pillows. There was the option to have the room serviced everyday and, on the days I took this up, the room was tidied and cleaned to a high standard.
I’m not sure. Perhaps air conditioning? Although the house is very old and over several floors so maybe not very practical. And it was unseasonably hot for several of the days we stayed.

We had a wonderful stay at Gulden Vlies hotel. It is exceptionally clean, in a great location, and offers everything you need for a comfortable visit. A special mention goes to Madame Fleur, who was incredibly helpful and kind, she truly made our stay even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this place!

Very nice period property with lots of charm . The hotelier was very nice & very helpful .
Great breakfast to start the day 👍.
If I’m being picky. We were right on the top floor. Wasn’t a good thing, climbing those three flights of stairs after a long day out . Lol .

The beds were really good , the breakfast was quite large, and the stuff and owner was superfriendly!
The number of stairs to the room, but just because we were travelling with a 2 kids (one 2 years old)

Very friendly host. Location is great.
This is more of a b&b than a hotel. You’re required to leave your shoes at the entrance, and walk around in your socks or in reusable slippers, which should probably be communicated to guests before they book/arrive as this is not to everyone’s taste. Bathroom is very old and not well cleaned. Very dusty, especially curtains and window openings. Cobwebs on the light fixtures. The room needs a deep clean.

The room was spacious and comfy and the location was great and easy to get to anywhere in the centre. The breakfast was incredible and set us up in such a great way for the day ahead. We also had a space across the road to park the car which was really handy.

The services was EXCELLENT, the two ladies working where very helpful, as well gave valuable recommendations where to go and where to eat in the city centre.
Plus the breakfast was above expectations a wide variety of food.
Definitely for the great location, excellent service, and top breakfast it's a value for money, and I strongly recommend the place.
I am sure my next trip to Brugge I will book again this place.
Not applicable, for us everything was above expectations!

The staff was very helpful and always smiling and they checked us in as soon as we arrived. I really liked the vintage look of the hotel, with pretty decorations. Also, the breakfast was good, served in a cozy room. We felt safe in the neighborhood, which was a major plus.
The room was smaller than I expected and quite old - it hadn't been renovated for a while, as I could tell. There was also a bad smell in the room, but we opened the window a few times and it was ok in the end.
