Burford Lodge - Adults only

A lovely comfortable, clean, spacious and well presented room with a veranda. Friendly, welcoming staff. Delicious breakfast. The omelettes were very tasty! Nice walk along the golf course before breakfast.

A bit noisier than expected and no view over the golf course from our veranda as stated due to overgrown trees. No beer available in the bar as chiller broken.

Location was close to The Farmers Dog pub where we were visiting plus it was within walking distance of the shops and eateries. The staff were nice and there was plenty of choice for breakfast although we opted for just toast. The place was clean and quaint. The towels were soft and large and there was ample tea and coffee sachets in the room. There was plenty of space to park and we didn't hear any of the other guests throughout the night.

There was a musty smell in the bedroom and the decor and furniture was old fashioned and mismatched. The shower was slow running and there wasn't any shampoo which I hadn't noticed until I was in the enclosure. I would definitely not describe the room as deluxe but basic and serviceable for travelling around the Cotswolds.

Had a lovely stay at the Burford Lodge. A very handy 5 minute walk into town. I planned a visit to the Farmer’s Dog pub and it’s less than a mile from the hotel

The location was perfect for a walk into the village for dinner in the evenings. Lovely breakfast!

We raised issues both mornings of our stay about the issue we had with water pressure and the lack of water from the shower. We were just told that they thought there must be a problem somewhere and also that the chef had filled a sink which affects the loft rooms… this response was quite unsatisfactory for both mornings for the amount of money we paid for the room. No good will gesture of any kind was offered. We also didn’t get fresh cups or glasses for the duration of the stay, so dirty glasses and crockery were left in our room.
