Romy and his family are very responsive, friendly and helpful. They also organize the shuttle taxi to the guest house and back as well as jungle tours so just write Romy a short message with your wishes. I did a jungle tour with guide Amar and it was very nice. I think a tour with Romy himself would be even better because he‘s so friendly and knows a lot about the jungle :) The rooms are basic and sufficient with a fan and a comfortable bed. In my opinion, the bathroom could be a little cleaner. I recommend the twin bed room or double bed room for a bit more space regarding the room size. The food is delicious and at fair prices. The shower water is cold to room temperature which I knew before. I had a few ants in the room, but personally, it didn't bother me that much. There are lots of sweet cats and dogs at the guesthouse, which I thought was absolutely wonderful. All in all a good experience with a welcoming and warm family atmosphere and a comfortable room. The communication was excellent.

Stayed a night here before and after a 2-day trek. Great value simple bungalows in a quiet peaceful setting. Very friendly family running the guesthouse and guiding treks. Tommy, from the family, was the guide on our trek and he did an incredible job. I was very impressed with his knowledge of the flora and fauna in the jungle. My 10-year old daughter trekked with us and he made it very fun for her, taking us to vine swings and the ultimate climbing tree. We saw lots of orangutans and other wildlife as well. The banana pancakes we ate for breakfast were great. Also, we had a couple transportation ordeals that the owner was really helpful with. The wait for a minibus from Medan took hours, and as morning turned to midday, we contacted the guesthouse and they were able to arrange a car and driver to pick us up pretty quickly. Then, in Kutacane, the car was low on gas, and the gas station had a line of cars going far down the road as it was also out of gas. As we sat there in the parked car at night hopelessly, we reached out to the guesthouse owner, and he showed up shortly after with another car to take us to the guesthouse for a reasonable fee.

Nothing about the accommodation itself. I wish we were told in advance that we would be swimming on the trek, because we didn’t pack for that when leaving the guesthouse for the jungle. On our checkout day, the guesthouse arranged a car and driver for us to get to Berastagi. Two days later, we realized that my daughter probably left her digital music player in that car. I messaged the owner on Whatsapp, who was always responsive leading up to our stay, but I never received a response this time. I realize it is a longshot trying to track down the music player, but it would have been nice to receive a response.

I had a very warm welcome and was looked after by the family throughout my stay. The bed where very comfortable. They arranged my jungle tour which was top class and Imar was a great ans knowledgeable guide. I would recommend for the families hospitality and great service.

Really fantastic! Had a great stay at this accommodation. They are still in the construction phase after the flood, so the whole site was not finished when we stayed there, but the stay was no less comfortable and the family is incredibly hospitable and helpful. Romy and his father are the best guides you could wish for so book a jungle tour (camping in the jungle possibly with boat) with them if you want to see Orangutans. Fantastic food also at the guesthouse and the cook who goes on a jungle tour also takes very good care of you. Had delicious meals. Although I don’t like camping this was a fantastic experience and we stayed 7 nights, 4 of which were in the jungle. In short: go here!
