The room was very clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The location was convenient, and the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout my stay.

Nothing at all – everything met my expectations.

It’s a hidden gem! Right by the river which is lovely and clean to swim in. Well maintained home stay with lovely views.

If you don’t want to walk 30/40 mins into the town or if you’re not confident on a moped it may be a bit out of the way but definitely worth while!

We spent wonderful days at Landak River Homestay! We originally booked just one night, but ended up staying for two weeks. The homestay has only two rooms, so the experience feels very personal and close to the owners, Antoni and Tiara. The rooms are simple, but clean and cozy, everything you need for a comfortable stay. They stay pleasantly cool at night, and we often used a blanket to keep warm. The mattresses are comfortable, and it’s very relaxing to fall asleep to the sounds of the jungle. The value for money is probably the best you’ll find in Bukit Lawang. One of the highlights is definitely the food. Tiara is an amazing cook, and without a doubt, she prepared the best meals we had in Indonesia. The portions were always generous, and there was a great variety of delicious dishes. The location is perfect if you enjoy being close to nature. Just 50 meters away, there's a beautiful spot on the Landak River where you can swim or walk downstream to discover more peaceful areas. The homestay is a bit outside the main village, but you can walk there in about 35 minutes. If you prefer, Antoni can lend you a motorbike (you just need to pay for the fuel). We felt like part of the family. We shared dinners, good conversations about Indonesian culture, the bahasa language, traditional food, and much more. Antoni and Tiara were always kind and helpful: providing tips to explore the area, suggesting activities, helping with transport, and always making sure we felt at home. One day after trekking, we felt a bit sick, and they took great care of us with medicine and local remedies. So lovely! Even before we arrived in Indonesia, Antoni was very responsive and helped us organize both our transfer and our jungle trek. His prices were always fair and transparent. Would 10/10 recommend this place to anyone!! Sampai jumpa lagi, Antoni and Tiara!

The breakfast so far is good For the backpacker i think is good.

The location and access to the guest house need to improve it. The place is so nice and bit quite. Cleanliness need to improve, facilities such water in the bath room it must have. Because when we are stay no water in the bath room. Lighting also need to improve, its not enough lighting in the room and surrounding area.
