Jungle Inn Bukit lawang

What a wonderful stay at The Jungle Inn. We are a family of 4 (Mum, Dad and two girls aged 15 and 11) and have left Bukit Lewang with cherished memories. The accommodation and surrounding area was stunning: Aldi and his friendly team always ensured we felt comfortable and safe and had everything we needed during our stay. Nothing was too much. The staff were super kind, helpful and happy. Blade and other staff (a lovely chap with a moustache whose name eludes us) always made time to chat to and play with the children and it made them feel really welcome and included. We loved the chilled vibe in the evenings with the wonderful live music including clapping and singing along to ‘The Jungle Trek Song’ The freshly cooked food and drink made to order was absolutely delicious! We did an amazing overnight jungle trek with two wonderful guides: Zia Rozy and Saidi plus our amazing (and very funny) cook Soleh ❤️ They were so knowledgeable and enabled us to see orang-utans, Thomas Leaf monkeys, black gibbons and many more beautiful jungle creatures. Eating Soleh’s delicious food by candlelight at the camp and then playing a game of cards around the camp fire together was particularly memorable. The girls loved Saidi’s hand made jungle crowns and jungle makeup using the clay from the river. They also delighted in teaching Soleh how to play ‘poo head’ and their humour and fun personalities 😂 We are very sad to have left and hope to return one day. I cannot recommend this place enough. Jungle Inn you have made a long lasting imprint on our hearts ♥️

Rooms were pretty, but most importantly the staff were really nice and helpful. One of us got sick and helped us get medication as well as an emergency ride back to Medan Hospital. I really appreciate all their help. Food was really nice as well especially the Pollo Salteado!

There was no AC which didn't help my friend in feeling better (only fans available), but we knew that when we booked so I don't hold that against them.
