Batu Kapal Guest House & Jungle trekking

Very remote feel especially with the 15 minute moped drive down rugged single track path through the jungle and saw an orangutan and a bunch of monkeys of different species right on property. Literally a one minute walk to peaceful beautiful river with lots of wildlife. Also beautiful landscaping and fruit trees on property with a volleyball net in the yard.

No not shower but super minor because it’s always warm but also cool at night so no need for ac and the fan was plenty to stay cool

Great accommodation at the borders of the jungle. we stayed here four nights with our kids of eight and 11 years old, and it was one of the highlights of our holiday. We loved the room with great views on the garden and the jungle behind it.in the afternoon it was great to take a swim in the river.the restaurant served very good food, and the live music in the evening was truly special. Also, we went on a two days one night jungle trekking, which we loved a lot. Mowgli and the other guides gave us a great adventure, with many sightings of wildlife.the facilities in the jungle were basic but very well for a unique night in the jungle.also it was very nice that everything was tailored to our needs as a family with to small children. They have made a great experience they will not forget, including the trip back on the rafts.I definitely recommend to book your holiday in Bukit Lawang with Batu Kapal! Special shout out to the staff, you are great!

The location is outside of the center of Bukit Lawang. It takes a short trip on the back of a motorcycle, conveniently organized by the great staff.we loved this very much and it contributed to a great experience.also the beautiful location in a beautiful jungle setting is a reason why we chose this accommodation. If you appreciate a more touristy area with several restaurants and bars, then you might look for something in the center of Bukit Lawang.

Location was amazing being a 20 min bike ride away from Bukit Lawang. My room was huge with a big balcony and although there is no AC the fan provided was sufficient for me. The guys who work there made me feel very welcome. They organised a fabulous hike in the jungle. I wish I had booked longer

Very welcoming staff, the organize a solo tour in the jungle only for me with a very good price! The tour was amazing and the guide very kind and informative. Also the location is amazing in the middle of the jungle, far away from the village.

Unfortunately, the room wasn’t that clean : the bathroom is quite basic, and the the shower curtain and mosquito net have many stains. Also there is no AC which is something to considerate with the temperature is Indonesia.
