Lakefront Living - 2 Bedroom Aptmt in Alpine Village

Views were stunning with easy access to lakeshore footpath. Spacious living area and comfortable bedrooms. Useful to have washing machine.

Even better if there had been a dishwasher!

I like everything about it, it has a nice view of lake wakatipu. It is very spacious and nice that it has a parking area. It is good for the family

The heater is not working properly, the only working heater is the one in the living room. It is freezing cold considering that the weather is around 1-3 degrees

- Two bedroom, two bathroom property with the living room sofa having the ability to be turned into a double bed as well! Was very comfortable for a family of 5 - Very convenient, only 10 minute drive from the town centre and Frankton shopping area as well. - Owners were very helpful and responsive with any questions

- Lots of stairs so keep that in mind when booking! May be difficult if you have someone in your group cannot climb them (all bathrooms are located downstairs) - Garage parking spot is quite small, had trouble fitting a larger SUV into it. There is visitor parking available outside which can fit larger cars but this is subject to availability

The views from the two decks were lovely. The heated floors in the tiled bathrooms were very welcome. The kitchen/living room area was heated beautifully with the heatpump. The new carpet in this area felt very plush.

There was no dishwasher or BBQ (as stated in the booking). There weren’t enough dishes (only 2 side plates & 3 soup/dessert bowls) or cutlery for our group of 5. Although this was rectified halfway through our stay. Only 1 of the 2 gas hobs was working. It would be good to have another smaller pot available. The pot that was provided was huge (more like a soup pot). This apartment is over 3 levels so if you’re not capable of walking up & down stairs, it’s not for you. Both toilets are located on the middle level. The beds are super firm (on slate base) so if you’re used to a soft plush mattress, you will be disappointed and not have a restful sleep. The garage is quite narrow as the owner has stacks of wood stored on both sides - not suitable for big SUVs. There is no garage remote so you have to come in the front door and walk down 2 flights of stairs to open the garage door. Soooo many instructions to follow and then they also ask you to do lots of the cleaning before you leave (including disposal of all rubbish). The small bar fridge is hardly big enough for a family of 5 or 6 which the apartment claims to cater for. The bathrooms could have been cleaned a bit more meticulously.
