Elegant apartment on the Grand Canal.

Amazing location right on the grand canal, if you take a water taxi from the airport you can arrive to your private jetty where Alessandro will be waiting for you. An incredible introduction to Venice!

The location is an 11/10 right on the Grand Canal. Alessandro was wonderful and gave us great restaurant recommendations and tips regarding the neighborhood. The apartment is incredibly clean had everything you could possibly need. We will be returning!

A perfect choice for our bucket-list adventure

Ideal location on the Grand Canal in an historic building, really with a lot of charm. The living room and kitchen windows looked out directly on the canal. It's on the ground floor, so access is easy. It's in a quieter area (Accademia) than the San Marco area, but has easy access to San Marco, etc by walking or vaporetto. The washing machine / dryer worked fine. The host showed us how to use appliances, manage recycling/garbage.

Other reviewers have recommended we take the vaporetto from the train station to Accademia - what a big mistake! The massive crowd at the train station trying to get onto the vaporettos resulted in a 45 min crush on the pier. This was mid-day on a week-day. I wished I'd investigated the cost of a water taxi. It would have made our introduction to Venice so much nicer. On our return to the train station we were able to find space on the first vaporetto without any difficulties.

A wonderful apartment - do not hesitate to book!

There is so much to love about this beautiful apartment, it is spacious, clean, comfortable and not to mention has a gorgeous view of the Grand Canal. The apartment was situated in the more peaceful area of Dorsoduro, which was perfect for our trip as it was very easily accessible to all of the major sights, either by short walk or by the nearby vaporetto stops, with nothing but winding streets and bridges over quiet canals at every turn. Last but certainly not least, our host Alessandro could not have been better; he was extremely accommodating, helpful and attentive, we felt very cared for. Alessandro went above and beyond to introduce us to the area and provide us with lots of wonderful recommendations. Thank you so much for helping to make our first trip to Venice so special! I selected this apartment for my partner and I based on the reviews of others and we were not disappointed. For anyone trying to find a place to stay in Venice, look no further!

The location on the grand canal is excellent. Nothing was too much trouble for the host. Alessandro answered all questions within minutes and assisted us with with restaurants etc He allowed us to leave our luggage as we were leaving Venice later in the day Excellent apartment close to many restaurants

A beautiful place to stay!

The Dimora Contarini Charm Apartment was one of our favorite places to stay at during our time spent in Italy. Alessandro the host, met us at the port to help guide us on where to go for the first time. He helped with our luggage, made sure that we had everything we needed, and checked in with us during our trip. As requested, he gave us some transportation choices for our departure to the airport too and made sure everything was working out okay with what we chose. He even helped with some advice on restaurants so we could experience authentic Italian cuisine. His suggestions were amazing and for places we would of never found on our own. Even my child wanted to return to the first restaurant we ate at. The location of the place was amazing as it was right on the Grand Canal in what used to be a palace. In my opinion, the architecture of the palace walking in to get to the room was amazing to see each day. The room itself was spacious, very clean, and up to date with everything you needed. The kitchen was filled with everything we needed to make our stay special. The place, had a dishwasher, oven, stove, a full size refrigerator, washing machine and all the extras to go with. Everything is as pictured in the listing and the place was equipped with everything a guest needs to have a great time in Venice. We are hoping to get to return here once again in the future.

Location on the Grand Canal right by the Accademia bridge and lots of restaurants. Watching the boats go by was so much fun. Alessandro was wonderful, very responsive, and a very nice man.

If you're visiting Venice, and you can, then stay at Dimora Contarini Charm Apartment on Grand Canal

Alessandro, our fantastic host, arranged our water taxi to the apartmenmt and met us at the apartment and give us a quick tour of the surrounding neighbourhood and, because we arrived quite late, he arranged a booking at a nearby restaurant which was excellent. He was always available to answer any questions we had and gave us numerous recommendations and suggestions for our stay in Venice. The location of the apartment on the Grand Canal and the apartment located in the White Palace was stunning! The photos on the listing don't really show what an amazing place it is. When we go back to Venice, we will definitely be staying here again.

Absolutely outstanding. Wonderful quiet place on grand canal and 1/2 block academia bridge. Alessandro was a magnifiicant host and helped me every step of the way. Wish I could duplicate this experience in every city. Nice to be able to do laundry in washer dryer. Truly A plus

Very nice apartment in fantastic location

Fantastic location. Very comfortable apartment. Alessandro was extremely helpful in giving us options how to get to and from the apartment and showed us how to use everything. He arranged a boat taxi for us back to the airport which was a splurge but great.

My only complaint was Alessandro told us it would be hard to find somewhere for dinner so he offered to make reservations for us, and the place he suggested was overpriced and not great, plus we walked past tons of restaurants with lots of empty tables on our way there. So that was bad advice we shouldn’t have followed.

Perfect stay in Venice!!

This place exceeded our expectations! First, its location is unbeatable—right on the canal. You take a water taxi to get to the palace, the stunning view right from the window and everything is within walking distance. Second, the host was incredibly gracious, offering recommendations for local restaurants (the two of his recommendations were superb!), checking in to see if we needed anything, and making sure we felt at home. The apartment itself is spacious, full of historical charm (16th century), and even comes with a washer-dryer combo as a bonus. We feel so lucky to have stayed here!!

A gem in Venice.

Dimora Contarini Charm Apartment on Grand Canal is a lovely apartment in a fantastic neighbourhood. It's just a few steps from Accademia vaporeto stop and the bridge that connects you to San Marco area. You feel safe in this area. The apartment is lovely decorated and well maintened, with able space and next to the Grand Canal. You can even walk from the building to the private exit to the canal. It offers a large fridge, microwave and all kitchen equipment (though we didn't have to use most of it). The owner, Alessandro, realy cares for all the details and was available all the time for whatever question we may had. The price isn't low, but this reflects the quality of the apartment and I guess this has also to do with all the Venice accommodations, since it is a destination with thousands and thousands of tourists. We're coming from Greece, middle aged couple used to 4+ or 5* accommodations, and stayed there from the 28th to the 30th of September, 2024.

Si Venise a conservé une partie de son âme, c'est ici qu'on peut s'en rapprocher.

Ayant souvent fréquenté Venise de 1985 à 2005, cette ville unique en Europe qui est un véritable chef d’œuvre architectural capable de surprendre encore à chaque voyage, nous avons renoncé pour celui-ci à l'hôtellerie dont les prix atteignent aujourd'hui des niveaux stratosphériques aux dates des vacances scolaires... Découvrir cet appartement, au bord et au ras du grand canal, dans ce quartier un peu plus calme de l'Accademia, fut une bénédiction pascale ! Son équipement est complet, moderne, très propre. Et comme le soulignent beaucoup d'autres voyageurs, Alessandro - qui vit sur place dans ce palais du début du XVII°s - est un hôte exceptionnel, attentionné, chaleureux et fiable. Ne pas hésiter à suivre ses conseils pour la restauration, l'arrangement des réservations de transport, etc..., qui assureront la réussite de votre séjour. Je le remercie, une nouvelle fois !

Die Lage am Canale Grande ist sehr zentral und trotzdem ruhig gelegen. Die Ausstattung des Apartments lässt keine Wünsche offen. Der Gastgeber Alessandro ist sehr hilfsbereit und jederzeit ansprechbar. Wir können diese Unterkunft nur weiter empfehlen.

L'emplacement au bord du Grand Canal. Pouvoir disposer de 2 clefs. Le hall d'entrée, magnifique. Avoir pu prendre possession du logement plus tôt et avoir pu laisser nos valises après le check out. La gentillesse de l'hôte. Les petites attentions à disposition. La proximité du pont de l'Academia, et de la station du Vaporetto.

Rien de très grave : appartement un peu sombre, car au rez de chaussée d'un palais, mais avec une si belle vue, ...

Posizione eccezionale sul Canal Grande, sestriere dorsoduro ( non troppo affollato di turisti) a pochi passi fermata vaporetto accademia e molto comodi tutti i servizi ( minimarket, pasticceria, farmacia, ristoranti, osterie per cicchetti) casa appena ristrutturata con cura perfetta dei particolari e super accessoriata . Assenza di umidità nonostante la posizione direttamente sul Canal Grande Gentilezza e disponibilità dell'host Alessandro che ha reso indimenticabile la nostra vacanza .

Tudo foi soberbo. A localização não podia ser melhor, era simplesmente perfeita. O apartamento muito completo e limpo. Tem um deck lindissimo, virado para o grande canal, de onde se podem ver os barcos. O anfitrião é excelente, fornecendo todas as informações sobre restaurantes locais e meios de transporte e sempre disponível, respondendo no mesmo minuto às nossas questões. Sentimo-nos muito bem. Foi um sonho!

Agradable y cómoda estadía en departamento lujoso y amplio sobre el Gran Canal

El departamento es muy cómodo y espacioso, todo es nuevo y estéticamente lindo y cómodo. La vista al q Gran Canal es algo único, despertarse por las mañanas y ver los barcos pasar es muy agradable. Justo al salir del departamento está el muelle sobre el canal, es genial para quedarse admirando los barcos y los edificios. La ubicación es perfecta, un puente se encuentra a unos metros para pasear del otro lado de la ciudad. Nos han recibido con mucha amabilidad, el host siempre atento por si necesitábamos algo, información, dato para cenar y tomar algo.

L’appartement est idéalement situé, à côté de l’accademia. Il est entièrement refait, très confortable, dans un ancien palais qui donne sur le grand canal. La vue est magnifique !! Alessandro est vraiment gentil et très disponible.
