We had a fantastic stay at Takumi Sou 1! The house has lots of space and is very clean and tidy. Beds are comfortable. The shower has great water pressure and the water is hot. Having a washing machine was helpful and it worked great. Communication with our host was very easy and we really appreciated the help they provided so that we could get back and forth from the train station easily! The Kiso Valley is a beautiful place and Takumi Sou 1 is the perfect base from which to explore it!

Really well appointed small house. Comfortable beds in three seperate bedrooms. Full kitchen and laundry. The wonderful hosts picked us up from the train station and dropped us back, which was very helpful after a rainy day hiking the Nakasendo Trail.
Nothing. It’s a long walk from the train station but the hosts will collect you and drop you back!

Our host was fantastic, he picked us up and dropped us back to the train station and showed us through the property. He even offered to help my friend and myself buy our traun tickets. The property was clean, comfortable and inviting, I had a fantastic sleep. I highly recommend staying here!

What stands out here is the hospitality. Taichi was a brilliant host and looked after us every step of the way, from picking us up at the station multiple times to arranging luggage transfers.
The downstairs bedroom could use a blind. Otherwise everything worked well, the beds were comfortable and all appliances worked.
