A very traditional Japanese experience. It’s not a flash hotel - it’s an older place run by an older couple who are super friendly and kind. Let them know ahead of time if you would like dinner and breakfast - which I would thoroughly recommend. The wife is a great cook!
Not that we didn’t like this - but good to know it’s about 2km from the “town” so bring any supplies you need with you.

Het personeel was erg vriendelijk en het avondeten uitgebreid en divers. Ook het bijbehorende badhuis was heerlijk na een dag lopen. Let wel op dat je het avondeten en ontbijt van tevoren moet reserveren (wij reserveerde dit 2 dagen voor ons verblijf)!
Let op dat je niet het adres direct kopiëert van Booking.com, want die leidt je 1,5 km verder naar een andere locatie. Zorg dat je navigeert op de naam Komaou.

The location was excellent. The staff were very friendly. It had an Onson which was really nice. The grounds were beautiful, a large parkland surrounding it with babbling brooks. It was only a short easy walk to the station about 2 klm. The local shops at the transport hub were great. We loved the Italian restaurant Cello Blue.
Room felt a little dusty and there were some stink bugs.

Aardige mensen, praten geen Engels, maar doen hun best om zich verstaanbaar te maken. Rustige plek.
De sfeer is ver te zoeken. Het gebouw is groot en oud. Het sanitair is gedateerd. Het bed was hard en we moesten het zelf opmaken. Het eten was traditioneel, prima maar zeker geen culinaire hoge kwaliteit.
