Spacious Family Apartment near Bastille & Marais

collecting the keys was super easy. The hosts emailed me 2 days before with all the information needed to access the property. The location is excellent - very close to the beautiful Place des Vosges, the Marais area and the Bastille Metro is within 5 minutes of the flat. It's quite spacious with a large living/dining room although the bedrooms are smaller. The kitchen is well equipped and the flat was very clean and tidy. Great flat for a couple or small group of friends.

Unfortunately, the building's water was turned off during the day during our 2-day stay. Also the air-conditioners are portable ones which are noisy and blow out hot air as well as cold. Some shower gel would have been appreciated.

The apartment was lovely and clean with a roomy lounge. Linens and towels were all spotless, though a little tired in the case of the towels. Location was good for us as we were happy to walk. A few taxis were needed, but to be expected in a city as large as Paris. Quiet area, which was really important to us - so we all got good sleep :) Positive contact with hosts.

The apartment was much darker than in the photos. Lights were required even during the day. Downside that the corridor lighting - up the spiral stairs and to apartment were all out. So phone torches were essential! Bedrooms were smaller than anticipated, especially the second bedroom, sectioned off from the lounge. Toiletries provided - just a single bottle of liquid soap. However, as we used it just as a place to sleep, it still met our needs. Contacting hosts by email? You do get answers, but bear in mind that it can take a couple of days before you get a response!
