About this house rental
On a massive section overlooking Raros interior rests Kani Darling, a recently built modern two bedroom home that has everything needed for a blissful sundrenched break.
The home is a 300 metre stroll to one of Raros most beloved stretches of sand, Papaaroa Beach... 600m of white sand and blue lagoon.
Kani Darling is wrapped by a spacious covered deck, perfect for letting the mind wander... outside dining, and drinking Gin and Tonics (if you need garnish there's a number of citrus trees on the section).
Inside is a full kitchen (and dishwasher), that opens to the lounge. The bedrooms are at the back of the home, both have sliding doors that open to the deck and let the tropical breeze in. One of the bedrooms has an ensuite.
Kani Darling is perfect for couples wanting to do not much but decompress, swim or tan. Its off the beach so you can enjoy the house and outside even if the trade winds blow.
The lagoon down the road is ideal for snorkling and swimming, you may even see some turtles.

We had a wonderful 11 day stay at Kani Darling. The house is modern & clean. The kitchen had all you needed and it was handy having a second fridge to put wine/beer in.The bedrooms & bathrooms were tidy. There was a good amount of towels & even spare linen if you wanted to change sheets mid stay.The pool was beautiful & refreshing on those very hot Raro days. The deck area is covered so gives you shade and we spent lots of evenings sitting out there. The property has a washing machine which came in handy & clothesline. The house is situated up a quiet road & is a short 3 min walk to 2 lovely swimming & snorkeling beaches - Tu Meke and Papa'aroa. By car you are only 5min drive to Titikaveka (Fruits of Rarotonga) or 10 min to Muri, Ruataki or Aroa Beaches. The new CITC Patai (supermarket) is a few minutes drive. It has a great range of products or you can go to Wigmores which is about 7 min drive, it is open 24hrs. Places close by to eat at are Charlie's, Au Tree Cafe, Shipwreck, Lil G's, Villi's Burger Joint, Falafal Shack and BJ's Tapas Bar.

We loved the pool it was amazing, especially with all the hot weather we had while there. The only downside was there was no air-conditioning but hey we survived

We arrived at the property at night time just (before midnight) & as we drove up closer there was a very bad smell.(Not the best start or welcoming that we were expecting on the start of our holiday). As it was already late and we were tired from our trip so we went to bed. We left it until the morning so we could see clearly what the smell was coming from. Found the smell was from a dead chicken (and seem like it had been there for at least). Messaged the host to let him know & also sent a text. Did not receive any response until later on (might have been the next day)? . The previous response prior to coming to the property was quicker but this time it wasn't) & response we got was clearing messages (I had also sent a text in the morning) and also no response. By the time he messaged back (well my Husband had gone out & removed it). Not ideal thing to do when on holiday.. After telling the host this & after a few messages later, Husband had to tell me to just stop replying (as he didn't want this to ruin our trip) and to just try and enjoy our holiday.
