Private Villa Kayu Padangbai

Belle maison et magnifique chambre à l’étage. L’emplacement est un peu isolé mais avec une voiture ou un scooter pas de problème. Le gardien des lieux est très gentil et serviable (il est dans la propriété 24h/24). Il peut aller vous chercher à manger par exemple. La plage de Blas Tugel qui est à 20min à pied est certes jolie avec de belles vagues dans lesquelles s’amuser mais le chemin monte bcp ! Mieux vaut y aller en voiture, se garer devant le restaurant Mimba (très bon) et finir à pied (entrée payante mais pas chère 10000 roupies IDR).

Rien dans la maison mais les chiens des alentour qui aboient dès le matin sont un peu dérangeants.

Jolie villa, piscine propre et belle, joli jardin et le must le monsieur qui s’occupe de la maison, des petits déjeuners, de commander vos dîners, refais les lits.. une perle discrète et efficace !!! Les lits sont très confortables, le salon du premier super cosy ! Petit plus hyper sympa : une petite trousse de secours avec immodium, bonbonne d’eau dans la chambre , le top. Recommandations des activités et restaurants, très bien !

Un petit coup de fraîcheur peut-être dans la chambre et salle de bain du bas car il y a quelques moisissures. Les plages sont belles mais pas top pour se baigner, dangereuses.

Perfecte plek bij de haven. Echter de moeite waard om langer te verblijven. Heerlijke villa met genoeg ruimte voor privacy. Met een vriendelijke hulp om te assisteren voor trips. Bij aankomst stond een rijkelijk gevulde koelkast klaar, 's ochtends een heerlijk ontbijt.

Voor ons werd de vele hulp soms ongemakkelijk.

The property had a wow factor, especially the upstairs, Rooms generously sized, lovely pool and garden. Excellent location, an easy walk from a lovely warung and the secret beach. Host's text info was very helpful and we really enjoyed the fish restaurant he recommended in Padang Bai (amazing grilled shrimp). Host accommodated our request for a slightly earlier check-in which was great as we had to leave early the next day.

Although the listing states in the fine print that there is a 24 hour concierge, it was not clear that the caretaker would be living onsite within the villa property. It is not uncommon to have villa staff providing breakfasts and helping with transport in Bali but this was the first time we had someone sharing the actual space with us. Though always helpful to have a point of contact for things, it compromised our sense of privacy and relaxation, and had we known we wouldn't have it to ourselves, we'd have booked something else. I raised this and a couple of other issues we experienced (hopefully since resolved) with the host immediately afterwards.
