A Grand Florentine Stay in the Heart of Oltrarno

Here is your full review with a natural, confident closing that rounds it off properly: The apartment is genuinely spectacular. The photographs simply do not capture the scale and sense of grandeur you feel the moment you step through the door. There is an unmistakable air of regality in the décor and furnishings, giving the impression that you are staying somewhere with real history and character rather than just a place to sleep. The beds were extremely comfortable, and the bathroom was modern and well-finished, which provided a welcome contrast to the historic feel of the rest of the apartment. The location in Oltrarno is ideal. It is around a 10–15 minute walk to the Uffizi Gallery, Pitti Palace and Boboli Gardens, as well as Santa Maria Novella and Florence Cathedral. The Galleria dell'Accademia is also within walking distance. There are convenient transport links to Piazzale Michelangelo for those iconic panoramic views over the city. Oltrarno itself is a wonderful neighbourhood to stay in, lively yet authentic, with a strong sense of local Florentine life. Borgo San Frediano in particular has an excellent range of bars and restaurants to suit any budget, and it feels far less tourist-saturated than some areas across the river. Yara was exceptional throughout. She kept in touch during the booking process, during our stay, and even afterwards to ensure everything had gone smoothly. The whole experience felt seamless and thoughtfully managed from start to finish. If you are looking for somewhere with character, comfort and an outstanding location, this apartment is a superb choice and made our time in Florence feel even more special.

San Frediano is a lively and vibrant area, which is part of its charm. The bedroom facing the street can be a little noisy at times due to passing traffic and evening revellers. It was manageable for us, and we were kindly provided with earplugs on arrival, which was a thoughtful touch. As the apartment is historic, most of the outlets use the traditional three-pronged Italian plugs. I would recommend bringing a universal adapter that supports this format to avoid any inconvenience.

An incredible 2 bedroom traditional flat that sets the stage for a truly Florentine experience.

Loved the layout of the flat, and the traditional feel of the art and furniture. It was a unique space and really made it feel like we were in the heart of Florence. We loved the buzz of the neighbourhood.

We are go with the flow travelers. For us this was an excellent spot to come home to in the later afternoons after exploring the city, to rest our feet and open a bottle of wine to relax. If you are looking for a full kitchen for meal preparation, this might not be the place. Cooking was not a priority for our group, so again this was perfect.

Air conditioning broken on arrival and not fixed for our entire stay. Unable to sleep as had to leave windows open to try to get some air however extremely noisy street. Temperature over 35°.

Perfect stay for a family or couples in the heart of Florence

The property was beautiful and had everything we needed for our 3 night stay, including complimentary espresso for early morning risers. The apartment was beautifully furnished and beds were comfortable, including the sleeper sofa (good for our teens). Air conditioning was only available in the living room g room and the primary bedroom, but fans were also provided, perfect for our group. We loved the location, we walked everywhere from the train station to major sites like the Uffitzi and Accademia, and had amazing meals in the neighborhood. Try the pizza and Molecola at Berbere, I think it’s the best pizza I’ve ever eaten! The neighborhood is very active into the late evening / early morning hours but it was quiet enough for sleep at any time. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

Everything was wonderful. The apartment is awesome with old furniture but is at the same time modern and very spacious and is located 10 minutes walk from the Uffizi Galleries

Non-Kid-Friendly Antique Apartment in Prime Location

The location offered easy access to numerous restaurants, bars, and grocery stores.

This property resembles a museum, brimming with antiques and various furnishings. A notable concern is the deteriorating condition of the light fixtures. Additionally, the owner has partitioned a spacious apartment into three or four smaller units sharing a common lobby, creating a considerable security vulnerability; we experienced an intrusion into our room while our children were inside. The environment also contains several non-kid-friendly items, including sculptures and a nude painting displayed on the ceiling. Prospective occupants should be aware that the property's maintenance staff is unmotivated, leading to potentially prolonged repair times.

Amazing location

Wonderful location and accommodation was perfect for Florence - full of antiques and period features. Chose it for the over the top decorations, but the pictures were not quite accurate, as the apartment was actually quite dark. Kitchen was small but had everything we needed.

The apartment gets quite a lot of street noise - even with all the windows closed. There is a lot of furniture, some of which is broken and tricky to sit on. Also some of the cupboards/ dressers have big chains on - pity as would be better to not have those items that did not work or were chained in the room at all. The host was not particularly communicative, and did not reply to whatsapp or communication on bookings, except for the last day, when we let her know that we forgot to leave money to pay the local taxes!

Nobiltà e comodità, a due passi dalla grande Arte...

Grande appartamento nobiliare con struttura e arredi di pregio. La sontuosità, comunque, non va a discapito della funzionalità e della comodità: la struttura assicura il giusto confort per tutto il soggiorno. Eccellente anche la posizione: i siti d'interesse artistico sono tutti facilmente raggiungibili a piedi. Inoltre la zona e ben fornita di supermercati, negozi e locali aperti sia a pranzo che a cena, oltre che per il dopo cena.

Muy amplio, cómodo. Increible la decoración

Super amplio, muy comodo, tiene ascensor, tiene 2 dormitorios separados con sus correspondientes camas matrimoniales (muchos lugares tienen 1 cama y 1 sofa cama en el living comedor). La decoración es increible, sentis que estás en un museo europeo. El agua caliente de la ducha no se acaba. Todo muy bien.

Las camas muy confortables. Vajilla completa. Con una ubicación ideal. Está en una zona segura, con muchos bares para visitar. A pocas cuadras del ponte Vecchio que es imperdible

Magnífico departamento

Потрясающей красоты аппартаменты. Как в музее. Живешь и радуешься. Роскошно. Местоположение идеально. До всего пешком. Рядом все интересное и вкусное. Ванна джакузи, кухня оборудована необходимым, чисто, удобный холл, лифт. Мы забыли как-то ключи и захлопнули дверь, нам помогли решить вопрос. Заселение удобное, по коду, никого не беспокоили. Цена для такой роскоши очень хорошая. Просто мечта!

Ужасный шум за окном. Очень шумно. Машины, люди….Даже с закрытыми окнами. Особенно вечером когда внизу активны бары… и люди смотрят матч. Запах курева, гам… почти до утра… Будьте готовы платить за нахождение в этой роскошной квартире тем что заткнете уши. Думаю, когда тепло, жить в этой квартире с открытыми окнами невозможно. Как-будто на улице …. Но если не планируете во Флоренции отдыхать, то апартаменты действительно потрясающие.

Le bruit de la nuit est jusqu’à 3h du matin!! Il y a plusieurs restaurants et bars en bas de l’immeuble, les fenêtres sont en simple vitrage, impossible de dormir.
