Complicated check in procedure

The house was cozy and nice

The check-in process is a nightmare. I had to answer like 27 questions (ever heard of GDPR?), take a photo my passport and after all that I got an error on their trash webpage resulting in the innability to check-in myself. Then we called the rental administration company hotline. The call took more than 10 minutes and cost me about 22 EUR in call fees, but we did get the instructions on how to open the door (lock code) in the end. Of course this is my loss with no way of recovery (the administration company denied any responsibility or remediation). Why can't we get the door code immediately after the reservarion and payment like EVERYWHERE else in Japan or in fact across the rest of the world? Having a 3rd party administration company needlessly complicates check-in which took us about 30 minutes standing in front of the door, everyone was cold, tired and massively pissed off. It is a major fail (however thanks to the company on-call lady we did get inside in the end) and degrades the experience heavily - compared to personal human-contact renters in other accomodations I experienced all over Japan. If the owner is reading this, I can give you one recommendation: Get rid of the bullsh*t 3rd party administration company and try a more personal approach. Then it may look as if someone actually cares.

Neighbour hood was nice and safe, close enough to trains and local shops.

We travelled with 3 children, 7, 9, and 15. With the split levels it was not ideal for the 7 and 9 year old.

Was happy with the location and room for many. great neighborhood and super easy to get into with great communication.

Wish there was more art and character. Feels too white and sterile and was too plane.
