Beech Timber Lodge

Lovelly quiet in a picturesque lodge park with the river flowing in the background and a nice mountain veiw lodge was clean and cosy for a 2 night mountain bike trip.

You struggle to get a Taxi into Keswick but there is a walk on the old disused train look out for the red phone box and turn right track which has been turned into a green way a nice walk into Keswick takes about 25 - 30 minutes .

Something different to where we would usually stay. There was plenty of room for 2 adults & 1 teenager. The lodge is only a 5 or 6 minute drive into Keswick which was great. The site itself is in a lovely location, with niche views & tranquil surroundings. The short interaction that I had with staff was a positive one as they seemed friendly.

When we first opened the door we were greeted by what smelled like damp dogs! We opened all of the doors & windows for about 30 minutes & sprayed air freshener which helped a lot. The premises was fairly clean, but not 100% clean. The shower cubicle sadly had a fair bit of black mould in the grout & a couple of other places. It also looked like there was some mould in the skirting board behind the bin, which I found when emptying the bin.

Location and I have been going here for 15 + years
