My wife has Alzheimers and the property was booked for a holiday where my daughters and their husbands could stay with us and share with the caring duties. The house was perfect for this purpose with its two bathrooms. Comfortable lounge, great TV, efficient central heating, which we had to use as quite a bit as we spent much time indoors and the weather was not great. The dining room was great as well, with plenty of room for the six of us. The essential utilities i.e. washing machine/dryer, dishwasher, microwave, oven etc. were all fine and in good working order.

As always with rented properties, it seems to be the small things! The kitchen was not really big enough for modern needs, and I guess the proposed extension might be to remedy this. The light in the shower was not working properly and the shower itself was weak and unreliable in maintaining a constant temperature, which could have been dangerous, as could the loose bricks on the steps to the front door, which I removed for safety not only for us but future guests. They need to be sorted. We were unable to operate the key safe by the back door, as had the previous guests, explaining why both keys were in the front door key safe.
