Colourful vintage-styled home in lovely Southville

The location was very good- a pleasant local street with easy access to the waterside and central buses. The property was very spacious with plenty of storage space, well-equipped and clean throughout. Good quality bedding and towels were provided. The bathroom was attractively decorated and functioned well. We really appreciated the central heating which was good on chilly May evenings.

The instructions about key access could have been improved. The access by key code worked well but we were confused by mention of keys in an internal key box in the property informaiton. We searched to find such a box but could not do so. Eventually we concluded that this was old information, as the key code worked efficiently. My personal preference would be for carpeted flooring upstairs, as the boards creaked noisily on the landing. The stairs, too, would feel safer with carpet.

Location is excellent and parking permit was very helpful. Spacious rooms and nice bathroom. Helpful items in the kitchen. Great getting access to netflix.

House could do with some TLC. Floorboards are quite loose and creaky. Double bed in in main bedroom very hard and uncomfortable, second bedroom the bed is very small double and this meant one of our children ended up having to sleep on the couch, which is frustrating as there is a third empty room upstairs but no bed or sofa bed there. Overall we enjoyed our stay because of the location, but probably wouldn't stay at the property again. It's advertised as colourful and vintage, but this is quite misleading as it isn't really either.
