1880s Soap Worker's Cottage, Port Sunlight

Great location. Lovely cottage, with well equipped kitchen. Well decorated home, modern, yet maintaining some of the historic features and decor. Helpful host. Front garden, lovely vibrant flower beds. Can be seen from upper part of the road. Visited the Museum, workers cottage, Art Gallery and the War Memorial. All have information nearby and this context is elaborated on in the museum. Spotted an 1891 photograph of the house in the museum. Showed what a cared for home it has been over the generations with no external alteration. Off road parking space a bonus.

For the back space to replicate the front in terms of plants and creating an enjoyable, welcoming area to sit out on hot summer evenings would be lovely. But there was nothing that I didn’t like.

Beautiful property in Port Sunlight. Staff were great and the property is gorgeous. We were sad we didn’t have longer to stay. We’ll definitely be looking at this Cottage when we’re back.

It was so spacious and everything we could possibly need provided. The location to explore Port sunlight was great. Great correspondence from the owner, we would definitely recommend
