Very Good

Ultra clean, warm, comfortable beds (although an Allen key would be an idea) and location was perfect for Town.

Excellent value for money!

We lived in a semi-detached house, which gave us a sense of privacy. Everything inside and outside was very new, clean, and tidy. Our room, with two comfortable single beds, was large and well-furnished. A huge window offered a good view. Automatic heating made the room even more comfortable: not too cold, not too hot. The spacious and perfectly equipped kitchen, which contained some supplies from previous guets (such as sugar, salt, some ground coffee, etc.), was beyond our expectations. The backyard added a cosy, almost countryside atmosphere. The neighbourhood was very quiet.

The disadvantage, which is also an advantage (because that's what makes the area feel almost "countryside"), is that it is quite a long walk from the City Centre (about 2 km), and if you're tired or short on time, it's better to take the bus.

Average stay and overpriced for what you get. Will stay somewhere else next time

walls were thin so could hear the neighbors, staff were unresponsive most of the time, room smelled funny, kitchen was dirty and whole building smelled like food after someone cooked, heater didn’t work for the first day until 11pm.

Unacceptable

Absolutely nothing.

After gaining access to the room at 5pm, it was quickly obvious that the room had not been cleaned/reset after the last occupant the previous night. Bed linen not changed and dirty towels on the floor and in the shower cubicle. Dirty toilet. I find this completely unacceptable and don't understand how it happens. It made me.feel very uncomfortable, dirty and unwelcome. Very unprofessional. After contacting the host, and after 35 minutes someone turned up to clean the room. Very inconvinient which made me late. I chose to move on to another hotel. The has been no offer of a partial refund for the inconvenience caused. The Double Ensuite Room is small to say the least. Noisy. No privacy from overlooking houses other than closing the blackout curtains and putting the lights on. Any suggestions that there is parking available isn't necessarily true if everyone else arrives in a car. I definitely wouldn't even consider staying here again.

A useful place to stay during conference season

In a good neighbourhood, easy to walk into the centre. The instructions for how to get in the property could have been a little clearer but it was easy to resolve.

Good for the price.

7min bus ride on 82 or 82a from Lime Street. Hotel had the feel of an Air B&B / friend's house.

Only one bathroom for 6-or-so rooms, although it was free whenever I wanted to use it. Some teabags / milk / sugar would've been nice, as the kettle in the room was kind of pointless.

Good close to City Center location

Good location. Approx 10 mins from Lime Street on bus (£2pp). Quiet residential road close to the Docks (10 mins from river front and a walk along the docks that takes you to the museums) and Baltic Triangle. Good kitchen with fridge,. Cooker and microwave available. Access instructions to the appartmentm

All good, except for felllow guest in the kitchen at 5.30am looking for a mug in every cupboard to make a cup of tea. Reminder this is a shared house.

I could not stay there at all i left.

I got highly humiliated and disrespected by the person i spoke to on phone who happened to be the property representative, i got to the property around 6pm, i was pressing the door bell for like 15 minutes, there was nobody to answered me, and there was no body to talk to, i was not given the pin for the door i got there, there was no where the name of the property is written or display, i was very difficult to get the property number so as to contact them. The whole thing look unorganised and the entire place look lonely and unkept.

Far from everything, rude staff, unpleasant lack of fresh air.

Beds and wifi were okay.

No fresh air in the room, hot. Daytime teperature outside 32 C, in the room 36. One window locked, other was only openable just for 4 cm. Impolite, fussy staff member reluctantly refused to make it openable, quoting rules for school dormitories for small kids. There was not any child in the building at all. Shared bathroom was on another floor than room 4 and 5, and this fact was not mentioned before booking. Rude and imperative staff communication in writing. Ugly dirty backyard. Without car, the place is far from everything, located in a former dockland industrial area.

Only if desperate!

We had an en-suite room and a large wardrobe. Near bus stop and Tesco.

The bedding was very tired and worn and the room had very little space. The coffee cups had not been cleaned, hairs in the bathroom and stained carpet. The front door was left unlocked by other residents. We were disturbed by another guest who didn’t want to leave at check-out time and argued with staff. A girl was sat outside front door when we wanted to access the building which was disconcerting. It felt like how I would imagine ‘emergency housing’ would be. Didn’t feel safe at night in the area. We would not use again. We did not meet any staff.

Not the best

It was easy to park and close to where we needed to be

There wasn’t one mirror in our bedroom. And when I asked about getting one from one of the other rooms that had 2, I was told no. I was told to use the mirror in the bathroom which was head height. So we struggled to straighten our hair and put our makeup on and we couldn’t even check our outfits out.(we were going to a concert)

I would repeat

I loved the security keys system. I was a bit worried at first but could enter without any problem at all. Everything looks comfy and clean, and the communication is perfect. I haven’t spoken with the owner, but he gives you all the information very well detailed step by step by SMSs.

Only thing could improve is the first floor bathroom (which is where I stay). The water sometimes get stuck on the sink and the shower head that is a bit old.

Easy and convenient collection of the keys, good location, responsive to questions host, room was basic but it had all that was needed, clean bathroom

Room wasn't as clean as expected (carpet), decor could use refurbish. Having a kettle in room was bonus, however 2 cups were not washed from previous guests

Handy shop around the corner, on a bus route and large room. Easy entry with codes no keys and good comms with owner.

Check in was at 3pm which is very late when spending a day in the city. Paying an extra £15 pounds to check in earlier (1pm) seemed an unnecessary expense.

Noisy neighbours

Convenient Location

Walls were paper thin and other guests did not respect quiet hours, absolutely terrible nights sleep as a result. The room was cramped and hot and the shower in our en suite didn't produce hot water so we had to use the shared one downstairs.

We booked two nights and left a day early, losing £130, rather than enduring staying another night here.

The room itself was basic but tidy and comfortable.

The property is dated and worn. Needs work and a really good clean in communal areas. There are next to no items to use in the kitchen… not a single fork in sight. The worst bit though is the walls are paper thin and you can hear everything from other rooms, which for us was really bad as we needed an early night for what we had planned on the Saturday and there was a group of lads obviously visiting for a ‘night out’ in the room below us. They made loads of noise until 10:00pm, went out, but then came back at 12:30am and the noise continued all night. The drunkest one who went through to the toilet to be sick at 2:30am woke the whole house up. We got next to no sleep in the end, which spoilt the reason for our trip somewhat as we were really tired.

Amazing Experience

The view from the window was amazing. The cozy beds and well-placed toiletries added to the comfort, and the towels were of excellent quality.

Water accumulates easily in the sink and bathroom, causing unnecessary inconvenience.

It was good to have free parking outside the property.

VERY, very small room, and up 2 flights of stairs. Very cramped for my husband and I when getting ready for the day. The only available mirror was a small one over the sink in the shower room. Making it difficult to do hair, makeup, and not big enough for 2 people to share There is no TV in the room, not even a radio. Not that close to town centre. Actually missed the long and eagerly awaited excursion we'd planned for because of the distance to the town centre.

Good communication from the host, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the kitchen was well equipped. Was good value for money.

The kitchen and bathroom are shared with all the other guests. Wasn't an issue during our stay but could imagine this could cause an issue if there was a clash with other guests.
