Glyder - Snowdonia, North Wales

Close to the river and woodland walk (just yards from the back yard) Loved the top floor with its cosy kitchen and lounge area

Nothing really, every room was so clean and comfortable. It wasn't a problem for ourselves as we enjoy exercise, but the only way into the property is up a good number of steps on an external spiral staircase, entering on floor level 3. Great view from the top but for guests who have any walking disability it is a no-go; absolutely rule this out if you are looking for wheelchair access; there is none. This is a perfect stay over for adventurers in good fitness. We would love to return sometime.

The apartment view of the river and woodland was lovely and therapeutic. Especially the sound after a downpour. Nice decor. Comfortable digs. Great location for access to beautiful scenery and adventure.

Need hanging space in the main bedroom and a window pole for the high level velux windows in the living area. Neighbourly signs. Tight parking could be improved by straightening the wall/fence. Watch out for the potholes along the access road

As we visited during the heatwave in mid July 2026 (30 degrees Celcius), staying in the apartment was NOT comfortable. Even with fully open windows, the apartment was too hot, particularly upstairs (the kitchen, dining, living room). Even worse was trying to get a good night's sleep; no black-out blinds/curtains so all three bedrooms were extremely bright. We resorted to taping black garbage bags on to the windows. :-/ Opening the windows to attempt to get a breeze through the apartment, meant noise from the main street would keep you awake/wake you constantly throughout the night. There is a bus stop right below the apartment and while the buses weren't frequent or particularly noisy, waiting passengers talking loudly and/or drunkenly right outside the window were quite disturbing. Closing the windows meant unbearable heat (26+ degrees Celcius inside). So all in all, awful sleep every single night. That being said, if you come during winter, autumn or spring, the experience may be completely different. Some rooms were cleaner than others and the handrails on the stairs were sticky and dirty. Access to the apartment is via several narrow flights of stairs. Not a problem for us, but worth noting. The parking space in the back yard could accommodate three cars (one for each of the rental units: Glyder, Tryfan and Siabod) - but the spaces are extremely tight and if all three cars are parked, one of the cars cannot get out.
