Dongmyo Hanok Sihwadang - Private Korean Style House in the City Center with a Beautiful Garden

Four of us had wonderful time at Sihwadang. It was very close to dongmyo flea market and subway station. The house was extremely quiet and comfortable. I highly recommend to stay sihwadang a week at least to explore. We stayed only 4 nights, which was humanly impossible to visit all dynamic sites in Seoul. Many thanks to Mrs. shin, who was very kind to us.

The place is magical! The neighborhood is fool of workshops and pretty chaotic so getting to this place is like entering another world. It is silent, super clean. But the biggest value of this place is the host: friendly, helpful with great hits about the neighborhood. Such a service you will not get in any hotel!

Everything about this accomodation is wonderful! Warm welcome by the hosts makes the whole experience complete.

It is a rustic but beautiful traditional Hanok close to the textile section of Seoul. Don’t expect the sterile hotel experience. It’s more of a wonderful experience!!.It’s walkable to the stream, the fashion district to many affordable markets and restaurants! It was so comfortable! The highlight besides its beauty is the owner Mrs. Shin!!! She greeted us the first day and stayed in touch throughout our stay! What was beyond belief and kindness was that she came all the way to our next hotel, to drop off items we had left behind. We leave with very fond memories!! Thank you Mrs. Shin!
