1.The bedrooms needed more lights. 2.There were 2 bathrooms but the toilet in one did not function and the one with the bathtub had no curtain or barrier to keep the water from splashing all over the bathroom. 3.Also the washing machine was provided but it did not work, some one was supposed to come and fix it, but no one came.

Everything was fabulous!!! Host was very gracious and informative. They arragnged a private water taxi to take us from train directly to apartment. What an incredible introduction to Venezia. The interior decoration of the property was incredibly beautiful and apartment was light and bright but also very cozy. Read up on the history of the apartment on Red House's website, very interesting. Dorsoduro is a great quiet location off the beaten track but only a 5 minute walk to the Accademia bridge and San Marco sestiere. If you love museums and less crowds Casa Golena is the place to stay. Santa Maria Della Salute is right around the corner and one of the most beautiful places in Venezia. And you are right near the lagoon with views of Palladio's Redentore on Guidecca and San Giorgio Maggiore. Both stunningly beautiful. We were there for 4- nights during a heatwave and the air conditioning kept apartment so cool that we didn't even need to keep it at lowest temperature! A real PLUS! Apartment was clean, bathrooms exceptional and kitchen fully equipped. They even had a wheeled shopping cart to bring to the nearby Conad market. Couldn't have asked for more. Will definitely stay here again!

La ubicación es genial, en Drosdouro, una zona tranquila, resguardada del turismo masivo y puedes llegar andando a cualquier sitio. La casa es espaciosa, está bien equipada y muuuuy decorada, digamos... con personalidad.

Las tres plantas por escalera no ayudan mucho, y la casa, es como si fueras de visita a la casa de tu tío abuelo "el coleccionista", no hay muro sin cuadros de volcanes o embarcaciones. La entrada es un poco sobrecogedora por lo cargada que está la decoración en todos (todos!) los rincones de la casa. Y la vivienda está "vivida", no es una casa para alquilar, sino que es la de alguien que vive allí y cuando no está, la alquila, con sus olores, sus cosas (muchas) y su antigüedad, ojo que también tiene su encanto, estás en Venecia y lo notas mientras estás en la casa. Un tema: llegamos en taxi boat desde el aeropuerto (maravilloso, uno de los highlights del viaje), pero había marea baja y la lancha no pudo entrar al canal en el que está ubicada la casa, por tanto tuvimos que caminar y atravesar 4 puentes para llegar a la casa cargados con todos los equipajes, pero... ¡había otro muelle mucho más cercano a la casa y sin puentes que atravesar! cosa de la que la chica de la empresa que gestiona el apartamento que nos esperó (muy colaboradora, por cierto) no se dio cuenta y no comentó al conductor de la lancha. Nos habría ahorrado una paliza de subir y bajar maletas al llegar.
