About this apartment rental
A large and very bright apartment furnished with modern taste and located near the Guggenheim Museum.
It is one of three apartments in the same building and can be rented in combination with the others so as to allow large family groups to stay together but also in separate units.
The apartment consists of 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, a fully equipped kitchen, and a living area with sofas and dining table. The large attic room on the upper floor has a relax area with a wide sofa. From here, you have a splendid view of the Basilica della Salute and of the gardens of the Guggenheim Museum.
In the immediate surroundings you can find many restaurants and cafes. This area is also full of museums: other than the Guggenheim, you have the Gallerie dell’Accademia, the Palazzo Cini Gallery, and Punta della Dogana.
The closest waterbus stop is Salute, directly in front of the Basilica, between the stops of Accademia and San Marco. It is a strategic area to visit the city’s main attractions from.
Venice has six districts, known as “sestieri”. The district of Dorsoduro is often referred to as the “Miglio dei Musei”, the Museum Mile. This elegant part of the city, rich in art galleries and artisan shops and boutiques, hosts some of the most important museums in Venice: the Gallerie dell’Accademia, the Guggenheim Museum, the Cini Gallery, and Punta della Dogana.
The Fondamenta delle Zattere, overlooking the Giudecca canal and island, is a perfect promenade to take a stroll and experience some of the most beautiful sunsets, enjoying an aperitif on the water or a dinner in one of the many restaurants in the area.

We really enjoyed our 4-night stay at this apartment. The apartment was very clean and just as it looks in the photos. It was located in a nice spot, off the main walking road and tucked in a cute alley way. Our hostess met us at the nearby vaporetto stop and walked us over to the apartment to check us in and show us around, which was very helpful. I was a bit worried about the location and that we might be too far from the main part of Venice however everything is so walkable and getting to St. Mark's Square was only a 20 minute walk. The Rialto Bridge district was a 20 minute walk in the other direction. Venice is so beautiful and the walking was just so pleasant. The only downfall to the apartment (that our teenage boys were disappointed about in the evenings) was that there was no netflix on the tv (and there was only one tv). The previous apartment we stayed in had a few tv's as well as netflix. A lovely stay at this apartment and I would recommend it, especially if you are looking to stay somewhere a little quieter - it was a very peaceful location and the sound of the nearby church bells in the morning was lovely, with a lovely view of the Guggenheim gardens.

Magritte is a wonderful apartment with all mod cons right in the heart of the city. We were a family of four (two teens) and were very happy here for a week. Naida - one of the hosts was an excellent help, organising water taxis, giving us the low down and recommending a brilliant restaurant, it's easy walking distance from a decent supermarket and a couple of super restaurants, Salute vaporetto stop just 3 mins away - a great location to explore.
