Thatched Cottage

Location was perfect, This cottage is located in Charmouth

The cottage was clean and homely with everything we needed for a comfy stay. The conservatory was a lovely place to sit at the start and end of the day. The cottage had wonderful views at the top of the Main Street.

The cottage was beautifully situated and we visited the surrounding towns. Despite being on what looked like a busy road, it was very quiet and the street was stunning. The size of the cottage was great and housed 6 of us really well, the garden adorable. The welcome bag was amazing.

When we arrived, there were house flies everywhere - maybe it had been locked up for a while before our stay. I was there celebrating my 60th with family. I took a single bad and it was in disrepair. Every time I turned over, a slat collapsed and I ended up sleeping in what felt like a hammock! I took a look to try and fix it, but I saw that there were attempts to fit it and the slats were not in the right position. It's a cheap bed frame, it could be replaced at a reasonable cost. I spent 2 nights on the broken bed. There was only enough hot water for about 2-3 people to have showers. The rest of us took cold showers. Luckily the weather was hot.
