Le Domremy F2 au cœur d'Orléans

Great location. Nice little self catering apartment.

Not good if you’ve got bad knees as it’s about 4 floors up!

The location was amazing, and the view of the cathedral from the loft apartment was incredible. The apartment itself is very quaint and has a lovely traditional French feel, which we absolutely loved. We stayed for one night as a stopover on our way further south, and it was perfect for what we needed. We had a lovely evening exploring Orléans, with restaurants and shops right on the doorstep. Communication with the hosts was excellent, and the self check-in instructions were clear and easy to follow. The bed and sofa bed were both very comfortable, and the coffee machine was a lovely touch. We didn't use the oven or cookware, so can't comment on those, but everything we needed for our overnight stay was there. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Nothing at all, but a few things may be helpful for future guests. There is no on-site parking, but we were aware of this before booking. We parked in the secure Cathédrale car park just around the corner, which cost €13 overnight and felt very safe, even with a fully loaded car. The apartment is also very close to bars and restaurants, and as there is no air conditioning, we needed to sleep with the windows open during the heatwave. Unfortunately, France were playing in the World Cup on the night we stayed, so there was a lot of noise from celebrations. Finally, the apartment is on the 4th floor with no lift. We knew this in advance, so it wasn't an issue for us, but it may not be suitable for elderly guests or families with very young children.

Second year coming back here, on our way back from the South of France. We returned as it is in a great location, easy to access with clear insurrections and a really lovely apartment. We were treated to the cathedral light projection as we arrived, which you can see from the skylight windows also. Internet is fast too! We will be back in 2027 :)

De locatie was top en het was allemaal mooi proper.

Het slapen viel tegen. De zetel kan omgevormd worden tot bed, maar het slaapt echt niet goed. De verwarming valt steeds uit waardoor het echt koud was. Er is ook steeds een wifi lampje dat om de minuut fel knippert en de hele ruimte verlicht. De keuken uitrusting is basis, heel basis, zelfs geen zout en peper aanwezig. De badkamer heeft geen haakjes of plekje om kleding te leggen.
