About this house rental

Welcome to the beautiful Wren Lodge, a 3 storey, 5-bed detached home with spectacular views over Howells Mere Lake. South facing and set in a nature reserve within 500 acres of Cotswold countryside, there are 3 outdoor terrace areas for your family and friends to enjoy the sun all day and long into the evening. The home has a large ground floor deck with a private hot tub, with two further substantial sized balconies on the first and second floors. One of the best locations to relax and unwind!

By making a reservation you are accepting the Lower Mill Estate`s Code of Conduct as per the Terms & Conditions on behalf of yourself and your guests.

STATED GROUP SIZE: Bookings are accepted on the group size & configuration stated at the time of booking. Any changes to this would require permission. Lower Mill Estate is a gated and warden controlled private estate and we provide the Estate with all guest group sizes and group dynamics prior to arrival, which are confirmed at the time of booking.

DAY VISITORS: Day visitors to the Property may be permitted with our prior consent, at our discretion, provided that the total group (including visitors) does not exceed the maximum occupancy of the Property.

SPA ACCESS: All but a 4 minute walk to the Luxury Spa complex, of which you get full rental access during your stay, allowing you and your family and friends to use the indoor and outdoor swimming pools. Outdoor pools are closed during the low season.

NATURE FIRST: Lower Mill Estate is a nature first environment and we are all guests of nature. As such, things like certain lakes being closed in off season for nesting, low level lighting at night, reeds being left to grow to full height, is part of managing the unique environment and eco system.

PARKING: Each property on the Estate has one designated parking space within a few yards of their front door. All other vehicles can make use of the nearby additional communal visitor spaces and/or the overflow car parks. Please do try and limit the number of cars where possible.

HOT TUB: All of our hot tubs are maintained by a professional pool company, Messrs, MR Pools. Please do not use the hot tub after 10:30pm to retain the peaceful & respectful environment, in accordance with the Code of Conduct.

TRAVEL COT OPTION: We are unable to supply bedding or a mattress thicker than the ‘wrap around base’ that the travel cot comes with. For your reference, the approx. size of a standard travel cot is 60-65cm x 95-100cm.

BBQs: Due to insurance restrictions & potential health & safety compliance issues, we have removed BBQs from each property. Therefore, please remember to pack your own, or alternatively purchase a disposable BBQ for alfresco cooking.

LAKE SAFETY: All outside terrace areas are child proof and have over waist height glass balustrades all the way around, providing a safe environment for children.

PETS: we request that care is taken to prevent any additional damage caused from pets. For example, please wipe paws on entry to lodge. Please do not allow your dogs on any furniture/sofas and/or on beds.

3 generations all perfectly happy in a great location and home with everything we needed. Perfect weather meant evenings on the deck and great days using the estate lakes and facilities.

It was my 70th birthday celebration with my hubby, children and grandchildren. We all said it was the best weekend ever. The house was in a fantastic location, the estate facilities had something for everyone.

We picked this property so a large family could get together for a Christmas weekend. With the separate bedrooms and en-suites to the majority along with the living area made an ideal get together location. We were met by the host who kindly talked us through everything and was on call if needed.Although it rained and was windy while we were there we still used the hot tub and the take away pizzas on-site were brill. A couple of us used the on-site bar and sat by the fire which was nice, we unfortunately didn’t use the spa facilities which looked great. Everyone enjoyed the stay and weekend…….. that’s all we wanted

Wonderful 3 storey house for a multi generation birthday weekend. Plenty of space in the house, excellent communication pre arrival and welcome check. Loads of activities, the swimming pool was well used by all ages.hot tub in the evenings was very pkeasant. The estate was quiet, good time of year to visit.
