A fantastic weekend was had by all the family.

The location, the space inside the house, each bedroom had an ensuite, the closeness to the town, the covered walkway to the restaurant. The exceptional helpful host, who went above and beyond - 5 Stars. The host even sorted out one of our parties car to enable their journey home.

This is a very unique charming house in a great location

Great place for a group catch up, next to a pub!

The property is connected to the pub next door which was a nice surprise. Rooms are big and showers were great. Well equipped kitchen as well.

The outside of the property does require some care and when we arrived there was quite a strong smell in the property but nothing opening the windows and some air fresheners didn't sort.

Generally very tired and in need of a refurb. Living space small for size of property and insufficient seating in lounge - property sleeps 12 but sofa could only seat 5 people. TV partially obscured when lounge door was open. Two downstairs bedrooms were cold and radiators didn’t work. External window frames rotten and windows desperately in need of cleaning. Ivy growing over windows. Tatty ‘Merry Christmas’ doormat and ashtray at front door gave a bad first impression. All our group felt the property was much more like a hostel and furniture was very old and tired.

Excellent for a no frills, chilled time with the family.

Perfect to kick back and relax in, definitely not over fussy For a large family with kid's.

We were only a couple of nights so it didn't bother us, but for a longer stay we always look for a washing machine.

Very spacious house with beautiful garden and surrounding. Rooms were very big and comfortable. Kitchen had all the things one needs. I would definitely recommend this property for comfortable stay.

No breakfast at the property. However, Egypt Mill is literally a stones throw and the breakfast there is delicious

Large spacious property, very close to lovely town centre ideal for our group.

Great bedroom configuration for our group. Bedrooms and bathrooms spacious. Pllenty of hot water. Property warm and quiet. Kitchen well equipped. Easy walking distance to Nailsworth, shops, cafes, pubs and mills.

Minor points - few more hangers would be useful and some coat hooks (in communal areas and bedrooms).

Very welcoming convenient house to stay in a beautiful location

The location is beautiful, the house is well equipped and the hosts are very helpful and responsive. The house is next to a lovely pub and so close to nailsworth and the countryside. The beds were very comfortable and plenty of hot water was available.

There were some areas that were a bit dusty and some of the kitchenware had to be cleaned before use but nothing that couldn’t easily be sorted. The communal eating and living area would have been a bit small if we were staying for longer and not attending a wedding.

Our family enjoyed the stay at Garden House - good value and a helpful host.

The house provided ideal accommodation for a group consisting of adults and grown up children. The location was excellent - no disturbances and a delightful walk along the stream to reach Nailsworth centre or the Egypt Inn for a meal. The host was very prompt to respond to queries as we settled in.

The heating system struggled to cope with the cold weather and the water in one of the showers never became comfortably warm.

Lovely stay

The house is lovely, big bedrooms and bathrooms. We stayed here with family for my husbands birthday. Other reviews say it is dated etc which I do agree it is a tad dated BUT it is clean, the facilities were all excellent the sofa omg so comfortable and beds were too, it felt like a home and i loved listening to the wildlife in the morning while drinking my coffee. The little village is gorgeous and a 2 min walk away, with everyone being so friendly. Matt was so accommodating and very quick to reply to any questions I had. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again it was worth the 4 hour journey and a complete bargain. Thank you Matt

booked garden house for my friends hen do as we were going to a festival near by. couldn’t have asked for a better accom

Great position and a lovely comfortable place. We had 6 adults and 5 children and with poor weather the house had plenty of room for us to spread out in.
