Absolute Perfection, a quiet and cosy haven set in country Galway

Very handy as a comfortable place to stay near Gort, with lots of character.

The cottage was very comfortable. We arrived to a peat fire burning in the stove and it was very cosy. It has great character but is quirky - the bathroom is squeezed in with not much space. Mike was very flexible to meet our requests. It suited us well for a short stay and we would happily return.

The fold out beds are not very comfortable.

Almost a homestay

Mike is an amazing friendly person. He knows so much about the area and the history. It`s very interesting to listen to him. The tour to his fields was an absolute highlight. The house itself has a very unique character. And we did like it very much. The turf oven gives it a very cozy touch.

Unfortunately the dishwasher was broken. Some corners in the house would benefit from a thorough cleanup. But it was all very manageable.

Amazing place, fabulous host

The photos do this place no justice, it's stunningly beautiful. The cottage feels like a million stories. It's so spacious compared to what I was imagining. The host Mike is wonderful, he has so much local knowledge and history, he's excellent, extremely helpful and friendly. We went with 2 adults and 3 children (10,9,3) it was perfect for relaxing but a short drive from tourists spots such as WB Yeats tower, Gregory museum and so much more. We went with Mikes recommendation for sunday dinner in the village inn a short drive away and it did not disappoint. We really hope to come back.

The only thing I didn't like was staying 2 nights, we would have loved a longer stay

Magical

It was amazing from start to finish we brought some shopping with us it was a home from home . We Loved every minute of it. My dog got out but with in 5 minutes one the neighbour rang to sat them food the ever so friendly.

The bed were a little uncomfortable but as there ere only four of us we use the onter duvets so we had one under and one over us and had the best sleep

Fantastic house. We were greeted by the owner Mike. There was a fire lit in the fireplace. Mike told us the wonderful history of this place and his family. I will recommend it to everyone. A wonderful place where you can feel the breath of history.

Perfect location for a group holiday!

The building was stunning, the fireplace amazing and our host, Mike, was extremely accommodating and helpful!

The cottage was beautiful and very spacious. The only issue was the bathroom was quite small and the roof was quite low in it so for taller guests it could potentially be an issue. But the 2nd bathroom was excellent on the side building.

Traditional Stone Cottage is located out of the city. It is a peaceful retreat but close to shops, pubs and excursions. Mike was super helpful with suggestions for places to visit.

There are many beds to choose from but the one we picked could have been more comfortable.

My favorite accommodation during our trip to Ireland. Mike was the perfect host, exuding hospitality, humor, history and local knowledge. Loved sitting by the cozy peat fireplace at night. Full kitchen and laundry facilities. Sauna is a nice bonus, but didn’t get a chance to use it.

It wasn’t a problem for us, but about a 35 minute drive to Galway.

Het heeft zeker een goede sfeer, en Mike is een alleraardigste man.

Het is een mooie locatie, een mooie ouderwetse cottage.

Het is heel gehorig, en wat er niet vermeld wordt is dat er een kleine badkamer in de cottage is. (die overigens niet heel schoon is). De 2e badkamer en toilet zijn in een ander gebouw naast de cottage. De vaatwasser en wasmachine bevinden zich ook in een ander gebouw. De vaatwasser was stuk, en dus niet te gebruiken.

Parfait séjour dans une maison authentique et chaleureuse.

Excellent accueil chaleureux par Mike. Il a à coeur de raconter l'histoire de son cottage. Il a été disponible lorsque nous en avions besoin notamment pour nous rapporter du bois le soir du 31 décembre. Le cottage est très cosy, on s'y sent bien. Le poêle à bois est très appréciable, également l'accès à NETFLIX. Tout le nécessaire est à disposition.

Les joints de la douche sont vraiment à changer. Et il ne nous a juste manqué une chose pour que tout cela soit parfait c'est un canapé pour se regrouper en famille.

Der Eigentümer ist sehr nett und hat uns super Tipps und Vorschläge gegeben, was man in der Gegend umbedingt machen muss. Das Haus ist in ruhiger Lage und super schön. Es ist alles drin was man braucht und sehr gemütlich. Man kommt zügig vom Cottage zu sämtlichen Sehenswürdigkeiten. Außerdem kann man schöne Wanderungen vom Haus aus machen. Wir würden auf jeden Fall wieder buchen. Absolut empfehlenswert!
