The stay was the highlight of our entire trip.

It was the perfect Irish cottage, almost something out of a movie. Also, you could see a castle from the window and walk into town for a pint. Kinvarra is an awesome little town and the people were so welcoming. And Pat (out host) was always available in case we had a question or needed help with anything. We can’t wait to visit again.

Location, ambience, ease of parking and a homely and cosy feel when we arrived. Loved it.

We enjoyed the location. Easy to walk into town. Enjoyed the cosy cottage feel and really felt part of the area. Loved the Thatched cottages. Heating was on and felt right at home.

Amazing place to stay to bring in new years . House was so cosy and warm and stove was great

Amazing little cottage , we went as a family with four kids and two dogs . House well equipped , kitchen had all we needed and more , tv was great for a cosy night in and garden had a set off goal which was a bonus. Lots to do around area , we visited the castle, the burren, alliwee caves . Supermarket in town only a walk away and has everything you need and Zen was fab for a take away

Rustic Irish cottage at the castle by the sea

The location was really sweet. Right across the street from the castle and within walking distance to the cute town. We jumped in the sea off the dock at the marina. Lucky we got to experience the farmers market on Saturday. Nice Nespresso in the morning but problem that we ran out of pods and the local store doesn’t carry them. Nice kitchen! Love the fireplace! Beds are comfy.

Needs a good dusting of the ceiling, and floors could be cleaner. Very skimpy on towels. Would like to have a blow dryer available

Beautiful location for visiting the area

Amazing location. Cozy home for family of 6. Owners so kind with great suggestions of places to visit,eat etc.. even leant us some items we needed. Very well stocked. We bbq’d twice. The butcher at Eurospar has great selection. Thank you very much Pat we really enjoyed our stay.

The cottage was amazing, and the host was extremely accommodating. We loved the pot belly stove fire freshly set so we could enjoy it each evening.

A thatched cottage with a view of Dungaire Castle on the bay, with the colorful town of Kinvara in walking distance.

What a fantastic and fun stay in a sweet thatched cottage with one of the most iconic castle and bay views in Ireland! It was the perfect home base, walking distance to Kinvara and situated between Galway, the Burren, and the Cliffs of Mohr!

There were some quirky challenges with some of the appliances but the managers were very responsive and helpful.

Just wonderful, nice place, perfect location

Excellent! We loved it. Right past the car park for Castle Dunguaire. Host was great. Facilities were clean and comfy. Great place close to Cliffs, Aran Islands and Galway. (Washer/dryer is actually a single appliance that has aspirations to dry your clothes. Not especially successful at it, but we made do.) Overall, a real winner.

We loved staying in this lovely cottage! Fantastic location at the edge of a lovely fishing village with wonderful views of the port and a medieval castle. Spacious and well equipped. Dog friendly. Very welcoming and helpful host too!

Amazing experience Super stay

It was one of the greatest experiences I have ever had. Cottage house was very well (more than you need) equipped having 3 kids with us we never missed home due to all what you need from kitchen was available. (Full equipped kitchen, coffee machine to kitchen robot/mixer, oven, plates etc.) Garden was very well taken care and was great for kids to run and play soccer (goal was in garden:)) I would 100% recommend and will definitely go back there.

We had a great holiday & the fact we got an unusually warm week for April added to it.

The cottage was in a beautiful setting, well maintained grounds & a fantastic view. There was everything you needed in the cottage & things you didn’t even know you needed. Well equipped modern kitchen & comfortable beds. Plenty of hot water for showering. The village was within walking distance or a 5minutes drive. Great Spar shop & good choice of restaurants & pubs.

There was nothing to dislike. Possibly a little more attention to dusting the beans & lights, a few cobwebs.

A unique experience everyone should add to their trip to Ireland!

When we arrived Pat provided us with advice on where to go based on our itinerary restrictions. He also made a reservation for us (changing the time more than once!) to fit our schedule. The house was well stocked with basics and coffee! That was a real treat. Everything was so close. We can’t wait to come back!

Charming, cozy, welcoming place to stay while exploring the west coast.

Our party of six (4 adults and 2 kids) really enjoyed our stay at the Dunguaire Thatched Cottages! The two bedrooms upstairs were spacious and comfortable, and it was a bonus to have a bedroom downstairs for my in-laws. The living room was cozy and the kitchen had everything we needed. The location was really nice - 30 mins from Galway and 1 hr from the Cliffs of Moher - and Kinvara was a charming town with great food, coffee, and pubs. Host, Pat, is great! He was very helpful upon arrival! We'll aim to stay here again when we come back to the area with other visitors.

The perfect getaway

Cottages were exceptionally clean, set on beautiful grounds very close to the village in Kinvarra. Easy walking distance along a well lit path. All three rooms were spacious and whole house was warm with electric showers for hot water on demand. Have already recommended to family and friends!
