UBUD COMFORT

Lovely staff, comfortable rooms and good a/c. Situated in a quiet area of Ubud outside the center so you are not stuck in traffic when you step out to go exploring. Many Indonesian and Western choices of food on their menu. (They make an excellent dragon fruit smoothie bowl) Pool is small but adequate for a few laps or a dip. Ask for a room on the lower floor if stairs present a challenge. Good Internet service, also. They have a beautiful space for yoga or Tai Chi.

I would like to see them clean up and re-grout the edges of the shower floor. That was the only aspect of the resort that was worn out and didn't appear clean.

I enjoyed my time and the value was good as far as cost, but it was missing a few things for me to say I would return

It was close enough to the city center to walk or catch a ride in, but removed enough from the chaos to make it quieter and peaceful, with restaurants and cafes close by. There was also a convenience store right at the end of the driveway, the pool was lovely, the yoga room was lovely and so were the surroundings.

Communication for things like food and booking was lacking clarity, especially relating to timing of things. Staff was kind but caused more confusion, I would recommend written processes. The bed was a bit stiff for my comfort, and the room had ants, so a trap would have been nice. It was also a more suitable stay for a couple rather than someone traveling solo.

I stayed here for a week and absolutely loved it! First of all, the breakfast was incredibly rich and satisfying. Every day I had a green smoothie, fruit, a main dish, and hot tea—I looked forward to it every morning. Besides breakfast, the lunches and dinners here were all delicious as well! The yoga practice space has windows that look out onto lush green trees, making every session refreshing for both body and mind. Most importantly, all the staff were very kind, and they always helped me with anything I needed. I’ll definitely come back again next time!

The bathroom was a bit humid on the first day, but they gave me a fan, and after that there were no more issues.

Breakfast was great. There was a cheap cafe/ restaurant within 5 minutes walking which had a rooftop setting. 30 minutes walk to the Water Palace. I felt almost as if I had a private villa. Communal fridge was very handy.

Amazing!

Very kind staff. Rooms were really clean and also re-cleaned every day. Location is a little bit further from the centre, but we had our own scooter and took a Gojek/Grab to the centre in less then 8 minutes. You can rent a scooter at Ahamta. Please choose the breakfast option! Really good. The swimming pool is very refreshing and quiet.

Relaxing

The staff were lovely, breakfast was really big and yummy. It was relaxing around the pool and you could use the yoga studio freely to exercise. Drinking water was available throughout the property. Great pressure in the shower and hot water with shampoo, conditioner and body wash. If you want them to clean your room daily they will, they’re really nice staff.

In areas it needed some more care. The ceiling in our room needed painting. We got a grab scooter everywhere as it’s a bit far walking, you’d need a scooter to stay there but you can rent from there.

Amazing stay

Unforgettable stay. We have stayed in Ahamta for 11 days, and we felt as if we were at home. The place is amazing, with great co-working space and a yoga hall. The pool is nice and clean, more than enough for the capacity of this place. The view of the forest from the pool area is also beautiful. The best thing about this accommodation is the staff. They are truly great, and they will help you in any way possible. They are so kind and polite, and they will make your day. Breakfast is very tasty, same as any other food there, and as a bonus, they can serve it at the pool or in your room. You need a few minutes to get to the center of Ubud by bike, but you are not in the crowded and noisy area, so you will wake up to a birds sound.

Comfortable small hotel at a great price...

Its a lovely small hotel with comfortable rooms in a nice quiet road outside of the busy centre of Ubud. Its close enough to the centre to walk down or take a scooter and it has lots of restaurants and spas close by. The staff are amazing and always smiling. They couldn't be more helpful and the breakfast was made fresh each morning when you went to the salon and it was delicious. There is also a lovely fellow who rents out scooters right next door which is really convenient. It's great value for money and I'd stay there again without hesitation...

Fantastic place close to Ubud

Staff were amazing, lovely and helpful, always smiling - we are really grateful for their hospitality and kindness. The place is very clean and pleasant with good facilities. You can have nice breakfast looking at the green jungle behind the property. Shower gel and shampoo smell amazing! If you worry about mosquitos, spray the "window" in the bathroom with a mosquito deterrent (it's an open hole) - it worked perfectly for us. You can walk to Ubud centre - it takes about 30 minutes. I've seen some people complaining in their reviews about the lack of pavement along the street leading to Ubud, but to be fair - all car and scooter drivers are really careful. If you want to escape the hustle and bustle of the centre, you can rent a scooter at the hotel and head up north to find yourself amongst lush rice terraces, fields, forests and small villages.

Amazing experience for our first time in Bali

The staff were absolutely amazing, especially Komang. He made us feel so welcome and was always smiling and happy to help. He went out of his way to order us a taxi on his phone when we had issues with our own internet. He helped us practice the Balinese language, recommend restaurants, and always answered any of our questions we had for him to the best of his ability. We loved the location. It was just far enough from Ubud that it was nice and quiet, but close enough to local restaurants and a quick bike ride to the centre of Ubud. The rooms were clean, tidy, and had everything you needed. And the price was very reasonable. I would highly recommend and definitely stay again. 😊 Thank you, Komang and Ahamta Retreats Centre. Wonderful property with an exceptional staff!

Incredible staff, wonderful pool, and off the main area (but still close) so very peaceful.

The only thing I’d change is they do not serve alcohol so just know you can have a cocktail delivered from a nearby great restaurant or bring your own beer, but you won’t order a beer to have by the pool after a long day.

A beautiful retreat center in the middle of the jungle

Everything! The place is quiet, clean, less than 10 minutes by bike from The Ubud Palace. The pool is large with a beautiful view on the jungle. There is a yoga shalla with free mats and yoga accessories. The staff is helpful and respectful.

From my understanding, there is no restaurant in the hotel.

Best stay in Ubud!

Desi and her team made our stay really great. We loved it. Their friendliness was amazing. The atmosphere was very relaxed in a lovely part of Ubud. We slept like babies in the quiet rooms & comfy beds. Breakfast was very nice, big portions! Wifi speed is good. Everything is super clean; the room, bathroom, swimming pool,... very high standard for Indonesia.

It was very relaxing and safe. You are like in the middle of the jungle with all the trees surrounding the property, the natural stream flowing, the sound of tweeting birds and all. Staffs were accommodating, they will attend to your needs right away. Room is big, sparkly clean, comfortable as well as they have complete amenities. Highly, highly recommended! 🤗

El desayuno es abundante, la piscina está genial, el personal muy amable. Ofrecen un menu para comer y cenar a buen precio. La habitación era grande. Tienen un espacio de co-working y otro para hacer yoga. Muy contenta la verdad. Esta un poco lejos de Ubud centro pero Grab moto funciona muy bien y el hotel también ofrece motos de alquiler.

Tolle Unterkunft zum Abschalten!

Super schöner Außenbereich, direkt mit Blick auf den Dschungel :) wir haben uns direkt Wohlgefühlt und gerade bei dem Trubel in Ubud ist es super zum Runterkommen!

Dadurch, dass das Bad immer sehr feucht war durch den starken Regen (weil es ein immer offenes Fenster hat), hat es stark gemüffelt.

Alles perfekt!

Alle waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Dabei aber gar nicht aufdringlich. Jeden Tag wurde gefragt, ob der Raum gereinigt werden soll. Das brauchten wir nicht, nur frische Handtücher. Zimmer sehr sauber. Frühstück konnte man auch jeden Tag für den Folgetag aussuchen. Alles sehr lecker und sehr viel!! Es gibt mittags und abends a la carte essen. Auch sehr lecker und wird frisch und mit Liebe zubereitet. Pool sehr schön im Garten mit Blick in den Dschungel. Handtücher so viel man wollte. Die Lage ist etwas abseits, im Norden Ubuds, wir wollten nicht in den Ubud Trubel. Mit dem Roller oder Grab ist man aber in 7 Minuten mitten im Getümmel. Und man ist sehr schnell bei den Reisterrassen. Fußläufig erreichbar gibt es auch ein paar Restaurants. Muse war z.b. sehr lecker.

Das Restaurant sind nur ein paar Holztische und Stühle im Eingangsbereich. Es wird allerdings frisch und sehr lecker gekocht und man kann am Pool essen.

Muy buen punto de partida para empezar en Bali

La atención era inmejorable. Los desayunos estaban buenísimos, elegías el día anterior de una extensa carta (Huevos benedict, tortitas, tortilla…) y los tenías hechos cuando quisieras. La habitación era cómoda, se notaba de calidad y limpia. Ofrecen toallas para la piscina, servicio de lavandería (Un poco caro) y batas y zapatillas. La localización es un poco al norte de Ubud (10 minutos en grab) lo cual es idóneo para visitar arrozales del norte. Sin embargo, si vas hacia el sur tienes que pasar por el tráfico del centro. A unos 7 minutos andando hay 2 o 3 opciones de earrings a buen precio. Y por último hay un supermercado abierto 24h en la puerta, ideal!

El baño estaba limpio pero la ducha y la cisterna funcionaban un poco regular.
