The location was rustically beautiful in the middle of rice fields and an organic farm, that provided the kitchen produce. It was within walking distance of one of Ubud’s main streets in one direction and the lovely Pyramids of Chi wellness spa in the other. The staff were helpful and friendly. I had a delightful experience.

We have been to paradise! Joglo Guesthouse is a wonderful place. The private villa we had was perfect: comfortable bed, beautiful décor, gorgeous private pool. The restaurant offers good quality meals. We especially loved how relaxed it felt. We had coffee/breakfast in the restaurant everyday, sitting and watching people passing by and villagers working in the rice field, all while listening to the beautiful Balinese music. The staff is very friendly and attentive. We fell totally spoiled! We fell in love with Bali and with Joglo and we definitely will return in the future.
Nothing. It was excellent!
Please note - the property can only be accessed by walking or on a motorbike, so if you have access needs, you have to consider it. For us it was an added advantage - far from the busy high street and the motorbike ride was an adventure! Walking route is an actual rice field walking trail so picturesque and relaxed with a few bars/restaurants on route.

Definitely off the beaten track , only way to this property is by motor bike or to walk. it is only a 10min walk to the main st of Ubud , you can also walk to the pyramids of Chi through the rice paddies which is a nice walk. the staff are very friendly , the joglo is rustic and very nice. the beds are comfortable and the pool is nice and clean . we had a very good stay even though it wasnt what we were expecting but it was definitely what we needed .
they cleaned our room daily but they didnt change the sheets or towels , which isnt a major problem and im sure they would of if i had asked ,

The location is stunning. Looking out over the rice fields and so quiet.
The location is amazing, you need a scooter to get here.
It’s so well thought through with day beds outside the room and big sliding doors so you can actually have aircon off and lie in bed and look out at the view.
The staff go above and beyond and if you are not comfortable driving a scooter they will transport you and time of day.
We had a small problem with booking saying we had IDR300,000 credit. However when we tried to redeem it we were told it was only for a ‘Balinese Set Menu’.
They were great and changed it to be the credit as we’d booked.
This is honestly no big deal, just an FYI to anyone else looking at the booking option.

It is very beautifully located in the midst of the rice fields at a short distance from Ubud center. The owner and staff are super nice and friendly! Restaurant food is good and in overall such a nice place to stay! Can't wait to come back! 🙏🏼

We initially booked a Double Deluxe room, but upon check-in the first room we were given was located on a corner with the shared pool attached to one of the windows, with the huge doors/windows along a walkway used by other guests. During the day, if the curtains were open, everything was visible to people passing by or people in the pool, and if you close them, the room became extremely dark. There was no proper lighting in the room or in the bathroom, which was very disappointing, as there was no sense of privacy or comfort at all.
We spoke with reception, and for an additional fee we were moved to a villa with a private pool. This completely changed our experience. The villa was beautiful, quiet, private, and very comfortable. It had its own pool, toilet, shower, and an outdoor bathtub (with a curtain), as well as a lovely view of a green hillside with trees.
We had our own motorbike, so getting to the main street via the narrow road wasn’t difficult, though by the fourth day it became a bit tiring. That said, the property kindly offers motorbike transfers for guests and their luggage to and from the main street, and they were always quick to respond to any requests via WhatsApp.
The atmosphere was peaceful and relaxing, although there were small gaps in the doors that allowed insects to get inside.
The cleaning process was a bit unclear and inconvenient, as we had to notify reception and arrange a suitable cleaning time every single time.
Our stay was enjoyable mainly thanks to the private pool villa and beautiful surroundings, but the initially booked room did not meet expectations in terms of privacy and comfort.

Excellent location, nestled nicely within the rice terraces while still just few minutes from Ubud City (by scooter).
Did not find the AC.. spent the night in very hot conditions… (my mistake… should have asked earlier)

Great location in quiet area, lots of nature but be prepared for hairy scooter ride to get anywhere!
Tiny shared pool, impossible to enjoy. We didn’t have Villa with pool, just a room overlooking rice paddy fields. Definitely felt a lot less luxurious than in photos and pool was tiny. Didn’t enjoy meals either.

Very good staff and excellent location. Very good food.
Its in nature, so insects and lizards can be a problem. But nothing to be worried about.

Staff was nice and friendly. Look wise room was very nice. Bed was comfortable. They did have breakfast served at the room which was great. I liked the location in rice fields, it was very scenic.
My room number 4 was the corner room and it had smell of dampness and mold. Air conditioner was blowing right in my face and it gave me cold. Hot water was not working well. We also had room 3 which was better in all aspects except AC location. I had to walk for 15 -20 mins to access the hotel unless I hired a grab bike taxi.

The location for anyone wanting to be away from the hubbub of Ubud was great, although the property is approx 1 km from a road making it a long (albeit pleasant) walk or a (provided) scooter service - but for anyone seeking tranquility this is a positive and the hotel is surrounded by stunning padi fields.
The rooms we had, single unit ground floor with padi field views, were well appointed, light and spacious.
There are a number of warung withing 700 metres walk along the track giving plenty of choice for food without having to venture into the chaos of central Ubud.
The pool shared between 4 units didn't have any steps, and the few sunbeds by the pool were dilapidated which meant that as guests we could not make the most of the pool and relax. The absence of pool towels almost made it feel that the pool area was only for visual purposes rather than for guests use.

Room is beautiful and spacious. Cafe makes pretty good food
I would say this place is great but not for everyone. It locates among a beautiful rice field, which means it's kinda hard to reach. The room is semi enclosed, gives a charming natural vibe but do expects mosquitoes everywhere and bugs appearing in you bed. Staffs here are very friendly, great people, always trying to help, but not well trained like typical hotels.

The hotel locates in a very peaceful rice field with fresh air to empty your mind. You will be welcomed by lovely cats. The staff are very helpful and friendly with sincere smile. They give much support to plan special experiences in Ubud.
It would be better if the shower head could be removable.

An absolute gem in the rice fields. The kind-hearted staff made every moment feel cared for. The blend of nature, comfort and genuine hospitality made the stay unforgettable.

Staff were incredibly friendly, the view from our room was mesmerising. The room itself was gorgeous. I would rate this accommodation the best I have ever stayed. Being greeted upon entering our villa by fireflies in the evening was a very special delight. The bike ride from ubud along the rice patties would not be for everyone, but the staff were excellent riders and made us feel safe at all times.
If you wish to walk out your front door into Ubud central then this is most likely not for you.

The setting is absolutely beautiful with stunning views of ricefields and a lovely walk along the path to get to the guesthouse. The rooms were spacious, clean and really lovely.
We regretted not booking a 2-bedroom villa and having our own pool. The pool for the rooms we stayed in wasn't very appealing and was full of bugs and debris. It looked more like a decorative pond. We were also suprised that the walk to the guest house was so far. We expected 10 minutes, but it was 20. And because we didn't have insurance to cover being a passenger on a scooter, we didn't want to risk it. However, the walk was quite lovely with lots of nice little eateries along the way.

Beautiful view and nice location in a calm area in the middle of rice fields. You could get a ride from the main road, which was nice. I ended up extending my stay.
The rooms is not bug proof, so first day there was a bee and next day a loud tokey gecko in my room at night. However the staff was available 24/7 and handled both situations right away. Also, in outdoor bathroom there may be bugs and frogs at night, so you should not be afraid of nature. Roosters can be load early morning. I changed my room to a lower priced room (queen room), which I found nicer. It would be great to have yoga mats or yoga lessons available for all guests.

It was beautiful. Very helpful staff.
Located in the middle of a rice field, which was beautiful whilst you were there however was secluded so can be hard to get in and out of town.

We absolutely loved the location of our villa - overlooking lush jungle and the mountains in the background. Walk down to the Ubud center is so lovely - lots of rice fields (with fireflies in the evening), little cafes and delicious coffee shops. The walk itself takes only 15-20 minutes!
The staff was super accommodating and whenever we felt too tired to walk they picked us up on scooters. Provided breakfast was quite nice too.
The villa itself had everything we needed for our stay. We really enjoyed the outdoor shower and a bathtub (I wish they provided bath salts). They made up the villa daily, and for the extra payment they did our laundry on the last day which was very handy. :)
Little grey kittens living near reception area were definitely a highlight of our stay! So cute and playful :)
Overall I would recommend Joglo Guesthouse 100% - the value for money is incredible!
The dinner/lunch menu at the restaurant is overpriced and meals do not taste that good. I’d recommend going elsewhere, which is not a big problem - there is plenty of great Warungs (family restaurants) in the area and in central Ubud.

Very kind and accommodating people, amazing breakfast and food options, peaceful and beautiful location. Super comfy beds!
The scooter service down the hill is a great service. We could organise everything we needed from the hotel.
It was perfect

The property is quite luxurious and spacious. I loved the fact that each room was quite isolated and has its own pool. The bathroom is outside the room but it’s still very clean. The staff is very nice. We found a pleasant temperature since the property is near the rice fields, especially at night.
The shower showed some issues with hot water. The place is a bit far from the city centre so it’s either 10 minutes by motorbike or 30 by walk, however the staff takes you back and forth by motorbike for free.

I liked how its in the middle of rice fields and fun to take scooty shuttle service. Everything i go do or come up. Spacious rooms and great staff.
The sound of little insects because its in the middle of the rice fields. I'm a light sleeper so it kinda bothers your sleep.

We really enjoyed our stay in Joglo. The location is absolutely perfect, as it’s really nearby the centre of Ubud but out of the noise and the crowd. Even though the road cannot be accessed by cars, you can walk it in about 20 mins, get the scooter from the hotel, or even Grab.
The room was nice, as well as comfortable. We also liked food and the breakfast.
The staff is super nice and always available, also for the early-morning trips.
We had some issues with some rat poo in our room. We were very prepared to stay in a rice field, but this was really uncomfortable for us and there was no way the staff solved this issue. I want to confirm we had no food in our room.
The mouse/rat clearly came from a hole in the bathroom wall (made so that the AC cable could pass). This hole needs to be closed. It cannot be acceptable for 4-star-hotel guests to find rat poo around their room (on our suitcases and also mobile phones) every day. We had a 7 night stay and this happened for 4 days.
Also, for this reason, and because of being located in a rice field, we would have found a closed wardrobe very useful - instead there is only a wardrobe with no doors.

View from this property is absolutely beautiful. Staff is very nice and helpful. Our villa room was very good with all facilities.
Infinity Pool is not usable as there are insects that keep falling in that.

It’s location in the middle of the rice fields and the free scooter rides into Ubud and back.
Door has gaps and a window in bathroom is open to the outside and we had heaps of mosquitoes in the room. The mosquito net had a big tear in it. Bad smell from bathroom. Walls are very thin and we had noisy neighbours that kept us up past midnight. Never replaced the teabags, for 3 days. Food average.

I love everything about Joglo! The location, the free service from Joglo to the main road, the food, the facilities and amenities, and of course the hospitable people in Joglo. They always greet us warmly and make sure that we have everything we need. ALL the staff ate accommodating and warm. Shoutout to ms. Ni-ya for being so bubbly and kind. My bestfriend and I really enjoyed our stay there. The room was spectacular! It is clean and very spacious. Maybe the only downside is we can hear the people right next to our room but it’s not a big deal with me. The breakfast is great and delicious!! I highly recommend this accommodation! They made sure we are delighted even before coming to their place. They messaged me for some information on how we can find the place and it was very helpful. Thank you Joglo Organik for giving an international quality of service and facilities! 😘😘😘

We loved our stay! Taking a motorbike to get to the hotel and back to the main street was such an adventure for our family every time! It was absolutely serene and peaceful at the top of the hill where the hotel was. However, a 6 minute motorbike ride back to the main road and you are in the middle of Ubud right by all the action (traffic, people, shopping and restaurants)! It was like having the best of both worlds! Diyah and Nia were so wonderful and helpful. All the staff were amazing. We loved the restaurant overlooking a garden and rice field - we had our coffee there every morning and just soaked it all in.
The only thing I could think of was the walls are pretty thin. But it is not a party place at all so we didn't run into any major issues. It was so quiet at night.

The view from the swimming pool is stunning. The staff was very friendly and careful with us. Breakfast was good, with Balinese and "western" options.
The bed had curtains around it to protect us from mosquitoes and from the strong A/C.
The hotel is a bit isolated from the main spots in Ubud. You need to walk around 15min through a beautiful path until you reach the main streets in Ubud.
Fortunately, the hotel provides shuttle services via scooter and it was not a big inconvenience. For us, it was greatly compensated by the peaceful environment and location.

Staff super friendly. Breakfast was good and on time. The view was amazing.
No hot water for longer than 30 seconds. Basically we didn’t have hot water for the whole week. Every day there were fires and construction which didn’t allow to be using the pool that much. No wifi at all. We had the password but it never worked. So one week without wifi. The clean was poor. We got an allergy from the outside beds so we got to see to the doctor due the poor cleaning.
