Disappointing.

The house had potential and it was in a lovely location with a nice garden.

The host didn't speak English (as promised), the bath leaked through into the kitchen below, the shower was blocked within a few days, it had an open spiral staircase which didn't feel that safe and it this was exacerbated by the fact that the lower balustrade was missing and the top one was loose. A few of the electrical sockets were loose so that when you pulled out the plug, the socket came out of the wall, exposing the wiring. There was a broken headboard (not fixed to the bed), a broken light bulb in the bedside lamp, leaving the LED element exposed. The house was generally in need of attention and it felt like no maintenance had been done for some time. This was surprising as it's the start of the season. This was a sleep 6 accommodation, but only enough chairs in the lounge for 4 people. One of the 'double' beds was in fact two singles pushed together and my daughter fell through, so then had to sleep on one of them. It was generally disappointing and didn't feel worth the money.

Un séjour mémorable à Saint Malo!

Nous avons aimé la maison ancestrale avec les murs de pierre, l’emplacement dans la banlieue de Saint Malo qui est accessible, la proximité avec le vielle ville (intra mural) à moins de 10 minutes en auto et celle de la boulangerie au coin de la rue, l’épicerie a 5 minutes en auto ou 15 minutes à la course à pied, la belle terrasse, la cour très relaxante et la tranquillité des lieux.

Une maison de cet âge nécessite un entretien régulier surtout lorsque celle-ci est loué par diverses familles. On sentait qu’il s’agissait d’une maison utilisée puisque certains objets ou crochets ou murs étaient en moins bon état. Pour nous ça allait mais pour des locataires plus pointilleux ça pourrait être mal perçu. Cela dit, la serrure et la poignée de la porte avant doit être réparée ou remplacée (très difficile à ouvrir ou fermer). Enfin, lorsque la température monte au dessus de 25 degrés la nuit, il serait aidant d’avoir un ventilateur dans les chambres surtout celles au 3e étage. Je tiens à dire que cela ne nous pas empêché de vivre un très beau séjour mais il y a quelques petits détails qui font parfois une grande différence.
