Dubrovnik Legacy

The owners were incredibly helpful with allowing us to check in early. The house is a delight and every detail has been thought of in relation to equipment. We especially loved the garden and terrace, where we enjoyed the breakfast goodies that had been left out for us. The location is excellent, providing an oasis of calm from the busy town, but only 5 minutes from the Pile gate.

We loved the location and the historic nature. It was close to the Old Town but in a quiet area. The outdoor space was beautiful and the host very generous. The house was stocked with juice, milk, water, and cereal when we arrived.

This was not an issue for us, but it would be a tricky place for people who have trouble with mobility and stairs. The direct route into the Old Town is a lot of stairs - though there always seemed to be taxis on the main road if necessary.

Great location-cross the street, down the stairs (TONS of steps) and you are in all the action and Old town. We walked everywhere from this location! We called this the Villa-spacious rooms, great views. Quiet area, outside was a beautiful garden with fruit trees and 2 lounge chairs and a nice outdoor teak table-up the stairs to another sitting area over looks to the sea-cushions are available stacked in the house. There was a washer and dryer, hair dryer and small amenities in the bathrooms. Plenty of bath towels and bathrobes with slippers. Beach Towels, kitchen was nice-owners had left breakfast items and had a few bottle waters and OJ and milk to get you started. Wifi and A/C good. Owners answered quickly to any questions, easy access to lockbox for keys. This was an awesome place!!

Marble stairs to bedroom need a railing, needs a small mirror in the half bath. A bit awkward if not traveling with family-the main floor bedrooms- you have to walk through 1 bedroom to get to the bathroom and living room.

Loved everything about this place. It's not inexpensive but definitely value for money. First, the owner is communicative and welcoming from afar- sharing helpful details in advance over WhatsApp. Thoughtful details like stocking the fridge with basics before arrival make for a nice and welcoming start. The location is beyond prime: right at the top of steps directly down to the old city gate (5 mins to the gate). Be prepared for the uphill on the way back! The garden is delightful, the view of the city and sea from the terrace is magical, and the rooms clean and full of character. The kitchen incredibly functional and having a washer dryer is bonus.
