Manor Farm

Das Haus war sehr großzügig und sauber, die Küche gut ausgestattet und die Betten bequem

Leider durften wir den riesigen Garten mit Schwimmteich, Trampolin, Baumhaus, Hängematte und Schaukel sowie die Sauna und den Whirlpool, anders als auf den Fotos ersichtlich, zum Leidwesen meiner drei Kinder nicht mitbenutzen.

Location was lovely, peaceful and there was a nice walk along a cycle path nearby. House was lovely. Spacious and well equipped.

It wasn't the easiest finding our part of the house. A birds eye photo of the property with the section circled, or a photo of the entrance would've been helpful. It was called the cottage but that wasnt written on the sign at the door.

Great shower, location and rooms were excellent

Kitchen utensils are sparse (like no sisscors or pan lids) and some beds need replacement mattresses

Lovely setting. The barn is nicely presented and looks great with well equipped kitchen. The provided sleeping masks were a nice touch given all the rooms are very light in summer. Would be great place to stay as part of bigger group booked into other properties too.

We had an okay stay overall but did not sleep comfortably at all. We are a family of 3 and unfortunately no-one was comfortable sleeping on the sofa bed but there wasn't space for us all to share the one bedroom. The sofa bed has clearly been used lots and seen better days. You could feel every spring and it made so much noise it woke us up every time someone moved. We have a sofa bed at home that is far better to sleep on and so hoped and assumed to get the same quality. Also as the space is open plan, we could hear the fridge buzzing and juddering loudly all night - no peaceful rest unless we switched it off! The barn has full length windows on one side which overlook a terrace/patio area for the manor house. A screen/fence has been put up in front of the windows for privacy but we could still hear every word of conversation from the group renting the house late into the night. There is also a locked adjoining door into the cottage you can hear noise through as well. Not necessarily something the owner can control of course, but was bit of a shame. Last off, while we knew we wouldn't have access to the pool and hot tub on site at time of booking, we just felt the tone of the instructions in the barn about where we could/could not go in the garden gave a negative vibe. There are lots of lovely tree swings and a hammock nearby which our son was desperate to play on but felt like we were doing something wrong by using them... All in all the barn would be good place for a couple and great if you are part of bigger group renting rest of the properties on site, but we did not feel it was good value for our needs as a small family.
