Casa Vacanze Maddalena - Palazzetto sul Lago - Diamante Blu

Comfortable unit with air conditioning much needed in the heat wave. We had some trouble getting the air conditioning units to work due to a power trip, but the owner was responsive, and we were able to figure it out quickly. The unit is quiet and conveniently located. The area felt very local and not touristy - we felt welcomed by all the shopkeepers and enjoyed a really authentic Italian experience. There are cafes, bakeries, delis, and green grocers nearby within walking distance. The views from the apartment were beautiful. The kitchen has the basics to prepare a simple meal but don't expect too many extras for cooking. We loved having two bedrooms and they were very comfortable. The owner was very responsive and helpful with questions, and they gave very clear directions for check in and check out.

The shower does leak a little so if four people shower one after another, the floor can get quite wet. We dried it up right after but something to be aware of. The area does have a lot of mosquitos in June so bring insect repellent. We didn't swim at the beach in the lake but I did go to Bolsena's beachfront and dipped my feet in. The town of Marta doesn't seem to be frequented much be tourists so if you're looking for something for lively and touristy, I would recommend Bolsena instead for something more polished.

The apartment was very comfortable, facilities were great and Marta is a great place to stay for a relaxing few days. The lake was so nice to swim in.

Posizione fantastica! Marta è un piccolo Borgo che affaccia sul lago di Bolsena e dall'appartamento si gode di una splendida vista sul lago.

Wunderschöne Wohnung im zweiten Stock an der Uferpromenade von Marta, sehr schön und zweckmäßig eingerichtet. Voll ausgestattete Küche, Heizung und AC in allen Räumen, stabiles WLAN. Der Balkon zum See ist ein Traum. Die Schlafzimmer liegen zur Straße, gegenüber ist eine Bar, die abends sehr lange offen hat und morgens sehr früh öffnet; uns hat das nicht gestört. Man ist in ein paar Schritten im Ortszentrum, zum nächsten Strand sind es zehn Minuten zu Fuß. Geschäfte, Bushaltestelle (nach Tuscania und Viterbo) und Restaurants in unmittelbarer Umgebung. Wir können Casa Vacanze Maddalena uneingeschränkt empfehlen.

Uns ist es kein einziges Mal gelungen, einen kostenfreien Parkplatz in der Umgebung zu finden. Allerdings sind die kostenpflichtigen Parkplätze vor dem Haus nicht sehr teuer und natürlich bequemer. Mit einer Waschmaschine wäre die Wohnung noch besser...
