Great house close to city centre

Very disappointing stay with poor heating and cleanliness

We paid £175 per night for this accommodation but experienced multiple issues that made the stay unacceptable. On the first night , the main bedroom heating was not functioning, resulting in an uncomfortably cold room. The host was informed immediately but refused to address the issue or arrange a repair for the following day. I subsequently reported the problem to Booking.com. The bedroom window was thin and provided poor insulation, and the main bedroom door could not close properly, which further worsened the cold conditions. The property’s cleanliness was below standard. A full basket of empty glass bottles was left at the entrance, the sofa was stained, and the kitchenware was old and worn. Only one garbage bag was provided for a three-night booking, with no dishwashing liquid and only low quality Costco branded cleaning products. In addition, the location was noisy, ventilation was inadequate, and the host was uncooperative throughout the stay. Given these conditions, the accommodation was not suitable for continued occupancy. I informed the host that I would be checking out early.

Conveniently located stay in Southampton

Clean, nice and spacious, newly renovated and nicely decorated, conveniently located close to Southampton sites, very nice, attentive and quick-reacting host, parking on site, close to restaurants and convenience store. Bottle of wine and chips were a very good touch.

The area wasn’t our favorite, the mattresses were too soft for our taste and there was no air conditioning. It got very hot at night, where the fans were not enough (it’s important to mention there was a heat wave - maybe it would have been fine otherwise). There was an underlying mold smell in the first floor and in the bathroom. There was also an issue in the bathroom, but the host was very quick to offer to fix it.

Excellent place to stay at, great location, and lovely host!

The house was really comfortable and had all the necessary amenities. It was also located very close to the town centre which was very convenient. The host was very responsive and even allowed us to check out late. The host also provided on-street parking permit which was very helpful. I'd highly recommend this place for staying in Southampton.

Great comfortable stay and would recommend to anyone thinking of booking.

The property was very clean and had everything we needed as a family. Annie answered any queries we had really quickly and was very helpful. Especially when our son ended up locking us out of the property, when we were packing to leave!

The drive was a little awkward to get in and out of with my van but only due to people parking across the road but a car would be ok, there’s nothing to dislike about the property itself inside.

Lovely, comfortable, well-equipped house with parking, 5 min. drive from central Southampton

Very clean, exactly as photos - all very new and thoughtfully styled throughout. Comfortable beds, very well- equipped kitchen. Nice touches of throws, plants and artwork. Delightful proprietor, easily contacted + quickly in touch checking all ok. Provided precise directions to find property = has easy key-box access. Steep driveway for parking of one smallish car and a parking permit available for our 2nd car, as permit-parking only on surrounding streets. Location perfect for us - near to son and about 6 min drive to theatre/centre Southampton and all the Quays parking there.

Nothing!! Area has mixed private and student population - very quiet the weekend we stayed.
