Great stay in Florence

Great host and location, but the smell and noise made it hard to enjoy the stay.

The room was spacious and comfortable. Francesco was extremely friendly and helpful — whenever I had an issue, he responded quickly and took care of it responsibly. The location was excellent. Most major attractions in Florence were within a 30-minute walking distance. There were plenty of restaurants nearby that stayed open late, and there was even a Carrefour just a 1-minute walk away that stayed open until midnight. The area felt very safe, even when walking back late at night.

If you’re sensitive to smells, I honestly wouldn’t recommend this place. Since it’s located in an old building, there’s a strong and unpleasant odor as soon as you open the door, especially the smell of sewage, which filled the entire apartment. I had to keep the windows open for ventilation the whole time. Even after I reported the issue, and Francesco kindly came with tools to clean, it didn’t make any real difference. Showering was the most uncomfortable part of each day because the bathroom smelled terrible, and the shower area was very small. Due to the building’s age, noise from upstairs was also a big issue. I don’t think it was intentional, but the sounds of walking or moving furniture were extremely loud, and even late at night I could clearly hear noise from tourists on the street below. Lastly, there’s no elevator in the building, so you have to carry all your luggage upstairs by yourself — which can be quite inconvenient if you have heavy or multiple bags.

Francesco, the host, was very friendly, helpful and accommodating. As soon as there was a problem, he attended to it. Great location, central but quiet enough to avoid too many fellow tourists!

It was not easy to use the kitchen appliances simultaneously. No door to the second room.

The location and the house were amazing

Francesco was more keen to try sell us his airport transfer services than explaining the check in. The mattress was very dirty under the sheets, and only two coffees were provided for a 4 day stay.

Well-located Florence apartment, however some discomfort from lingering smell

The property was very well located, in a safe area and easy walking distance to main attractions. Hosts were also very responsive. We noticed that the beds were very comfortable too, and the kitchen was well-equipped.

Unfortunately on arrival we noticed a bad smell in the apartment, and after airing out this still persisted. We didn't address this with the hosts until the third day of our stay because it seemed to go and come back, and the hosts did offer to send someone around to take a look but we were nearing the end of our trip so didn't take up this offer. It was mentioned that this happens sometimes in summer. Hopefully the source can be identified/looked into soon and this can be resolved for future guests. Also note that there is no way to block out natural light from the skylight in the loft bedroom, so expect to be rising early! This was a little inconvenient when trying to get over jet lag/needing a sleep in.

The property is located across from Santa Croce Church. One step out of our door and there were multiple restaurants leather shops are very walkable community. The local community embraced our presence.

There was nothing I didn’t like, and our host was ready to help with anything we needed.

Great location! Great appliances.

What a great location! This apartment is located right next to the church, above a restaurant, and within walking distance of everything. There was quite a bit of space in the room, and it was very adequate for four people. It had everything we needed for a short or long-term stay. -ESPECIALLY the clothes washer!! This was quite nice and allowed us to reset all of our clothes. They had this neat foldable thing in the closet that allowed us to hang all of our clothes in the hallway. The front door of the room was quite impressive. It was a super-duty high-security door, similar to those found on safe rooms. It had multiple locking pins all around the door that were actuated by the key.

We never met the proprietor. I guess this is normal, since it happened to us on three of the properties we stayed in. Another strange thing is that I was required to download whatsapp and use it to communicate. The propietor did not want to talk using normal text. I guess this is normal.

The property is in a central location. A Safe place. Right across Basilica Santa Croce. It has everything you need. Kitchen is adequate .

It can get noisy on Friday night to Sunday night. But it’s Florence nothing unusual . They provide earplugs for people sensitive to the noise.

Nice work/ leisure stay in Santa Croce

The location of the property is perfect, you are next to the center without being in the most crowded part of Florence. The apartment has everything you need, it was really clean and the host was really friendly and helpful. In the same street of the building you can find nice restaurants so you don't have to look for restaurants if you don't want too.

Great spot

Very nice and spacious. Bed was comfortable, plenty of pillows. Little kitchen was perfect for cooking breakfast and reheating left overs. Location was easy walk to all locations. Host was very responsive, kind, even took us to the airport himself.

Floors were a little dirty when we got there.

Armaturen im Bad nicht ganz fest stabil. Duschträger an der Wand, Duschkabine ließ sich nicht ganz schließen. Klobrille verrutschte immer leicht. Vermieter fragte am Anreisetag nach der Überweisung für die Kurtaxe, stellt zwei Bezahlmöglichkeiten über WhatsApp für Finntechbanken ein, die nicht allgemein bekannt sind. Dann möchte er einen Rechnungsbeleg, wahrscheinlich für die Stadtbehörde. Den Beleg konnte ich von meiner Sparkasse nicht per Handy kopieren. Teilte dann mündlich mit, dass ich per Apple Pay bezahlte und dann war Ruhe. Ziemlich nerviger Vorgang im Urlaub!

Bonito apartamento perfectamente ubicado en Florencia. Muy agradable el anfitrión que nos ayudó en todo lo que pudo. Apartamento muy grande ideal para familias o grupos.

Grandiose Lage, groß und gut ausgestattet - liebevoll im Charakter

Grandiose Lage direkt neben der Santa Croce Kathedrale. Beste Lage in Florenz. Die Wohnung war sehr schön und groß über zwei Ebenen. Sehr liebevoll in diesem schönen alten Haus gestaltet. Echter Charakter und viele Services drum herum. Absolute Empfehlung!

Ruime kamers, afgezien van de badkamer. Airco heel fijn. Je hoort binnen bijna niets van de drukte op straat beneden. Fijn dat er een wasmachine was. En de locatie is fantastisch!

Estancia de 3 dias en Florencia. En pleno agosto.

La ubicación es perfecta. Tiene aire acondicionado en las dos habitaciones y en la cocina comedor. Por lo que con la ola de calor estuvimos muy frescos. Tambien tiene dos aseos.

Hay una pequeña escalera que sube al piso de arriba que esta un poco desgastada. Y la ducha de arriba un poco pequeña.

L'appartamento gode di una posizione eccellente, permettendo di muoversi agevolmente a piedi e aggiungere i monumenti principali in pochi minuti. È spazioso, pulito e dotato di ogni comfort. Für einen kurzen Städtetrip empfehlenswert

Die Lage der Wohung in der Stadt ist sehr gut, mitten in einem Viertel mit vielen Restaurants, um die Ecke kann man super frühstücken gehen und alles ist fussläufig zu erreichen. Der persönliche Empfang war super, wir haben uns über den Abholservice am Flughafen gefreut. Die Wohnung ist funktionell eingerichtetet und für einen kurzen Aufenthalt in der Stadt zu empfehlen.

Wenn man die Treppen bis nach oben geschafft hat, ist die Wohung etwas hellhörig und die Klimaanlage im Wohnbereich war leider kaputt. Die Matratze im unteren Schlafzimmer ist etwas durchgelegen.

Tiene pocas comodidades, y el dueño no te da ninguna facilidad, ni es flexible con la hora de entrada y de salida, ni con un lugar para dejar el equipaje, tuvimos que pagar lockers.

La ubicación.

No puedo entender que tenga tanta puntuación. Sucio, desordenado y viejo. No está equipado con todo lo descrito: no hay jabón, ni papel higiénico, por ejemplo. Las camas son muy incómodas, los muebles viejos. Me picaron bichos. No estuvimos nada cómodos. No lo recomiendo para nada.

Super Lage und feundliches Personal, jedoch passt das Preis/Leistungsverhältnis mit den Nachteilen nicht.

Die Lage im Herzen der Altstadt ist super und sehr ruhig gelegen. Das die Wohnung 2 Bäder hat kam uns sehr entgegen. Auch Francesco war super freundlich und hat und herzlichst empfangen.

Einige Ausstattungsgegenstände sind alt oder sehr gebraucht, insbesondere die Betten sind durchgelegen und die Schlafsofas sind sehr gebraucht. Auch einige Töpfe und Pfannen haben ihre besten Zeiten überschritten. Die Wohnung war grob gesäubert und wir hatten noch einige Spuren unserer Vormieter.

El aire acondicionado, la ubicación, la luz y amplitud.

Limpieza no muy exhaustiva, alguna pintura deteriorada, faltaba gel de ducha, el portal bastante descuidado. Falta de explicaciones, por ejemplo la llave del gas, que esta a la entrada y tienes que descubrir lo que es.
