Villa Anna Onno Lake Como

The property is extremely charming with a storied past, linked to the Church of Sant Anna and Monastery, but well updated and appointed with modern amenities and design; Inside the home there are even books and pamphlets on the history of the church which is very fascinating; The baby cot and high chair were great items for our child; We felt so lucky to have our own Monastery converted into this beautiful home in Onno; The location is in a small town on Lake Como, which felt like we were living like locals with a more private feel, but the 20-minute drive to Bellagio and ferry access close by allowed us to get our fill of buzzy lake towns; Make sure to check out Onnolulu restaurant in town for pizza, coffee, and gelato! The air conditioning worked well throughout; The garden exceeded expectations in size and was well manicured; The garden is completely enclosed so our dog could roam freely - and there was plenty of space for parking with a covered carport; The driveway entrance is extremely tight for a mid-sized SUV; The villa has private lake access via a small stone beach with simple chairs to enjoy the lake (bring water shoes for the rocky lake!); The value of our stay was excellent for the property, and it makes up for some small nitpicks like a shortage of paper towels and toilet paper over our 5-night stay, which, in fairness, we never asked our host to resolve; Overall, we were one of the first to rent this beautiful property and we consider ourselves lucky!
