Important Information for Vacationers!!!
Friedrichskoog is synonymous with nature-oriented North Sea vacations. To ensure this remains the case, the dike is being reinforced in accordance with legal requirements, and the Friedrichskoog-Spitze area is being modernized. Due to the renovation work, construction activity, noise, and restrictions are expected starting in the fall of 2023. Access to the dike and the mudflats will be closed until spring 2026. Please stay informed.
Friedrichskoog is located on a peninsula just about an hour’s drive northwest of Hamburg, right next to Schleswig-Holstein’s Wadden Sea National Park. In the southern part of the Dithmarschen district, the North Sea spa town of Friedrichskoog is situated in a rural setting among cabbage and grain fields. The “green beach”—that is, the dike—is located in the Friedrichskoog-Spitze vacation area. Guided mudflat hikes and events take place here year-round. In the town of Friedrichskoog, about 4 km away, you can visit the Friedrichskoog Seal Sanctuary and the indoor play area “Willi the Whale.” There are also shopping options (REWE and EDEKA) and dining options here. Smaller shops, a bakery, a snack bar, and restaurants are also located right in Friedrichskoog-Spitze. Between the towns of Friedrichskoog and Friedrichskoog-Spitze lies the Friedrichskoog Health and Therapy Center, featuring a thermal bath and a spa physician. There, you can pamper yourself and relax. The nearest train station is located about 23 km away in Sankt Michaelisdonn and is accessible by public transportation.
The vacation home offers a relaxing North Sea vacation for young and old alike. The cozy cottage is in a quiet location and offers pure relaxation. Whether you’re coming with your family or simply want to enjoy some time together as a couple.

You can experience unforgettable moments in this beautiful little corner of the world and enjoy stunning sunsets in fantastic weather. The west-facing terrace and balcony of the vacation home also offer ideal conditions for undisturbed sunbathing or simply relaxing. The sauna in the garden also invites you to relax and unwind.

Since June 25, your daily electricity has been generated on-site by a rooftop photovoltaic system. This means your electricity costs for household use are only 25 ct/kWh. Starting at Easter ’26, a wallbox will be available for electric car customers. Usage will be billed precisely at 50 ct/kWh. In addition, the house is heated CO2-neutrally with a pellet stove. Guests can then refill the pellets themselves as needed. We have NO peak or off-season rates. After all, heating is necessary even in the off-season. There is a sufficient supply of pellets in the house (sold by the bag), and they are included in the rental price.
Tourist tax and electricity consumption are also included in the final price. As previously mentioned, charging costs for the electric car are billed separately!!! When you register, you’ll be asked whether you’ll be arriving in an electric car. More information on this will be provided in the welcome email.
*** After you receive the booking confirmation email from the tour operator, you’ll promptly (usually within 24 hours) receive a welcome email from us—that is, directly from the property owner—containing initial information plus a PDF attachment with the data collection form for the visitor’s cards / visitor’s tax ***

The visitor’s tax is charged based on the length of stay (daily rate) and amounts to the following per day:
For adults:
*From March 1 to April 30 and from October 1 to October 30 = €1.70
*From May 1 to September 30 = €2.50
For each child traveling alone
*from March 1 through April 30 and from October 1 through October 30 = €0.50
*from May 1 through September 30 = €1.00
