Horrendous Experience

Nothing

We arrived at the apartment and were unable to access it at 18 45 in the evening. The lockbox was broken. We rang the number listed on the page for the apartment and were told by Marie to use a tool to prise open the lockbox. We had come by plane, had no access to tools. Marie said she would call a locksmith and that he would be there in 30 minutes. . As it transpired, Marie only called the locksmith several phone calls later when my husband got annoyed. We were also told by security that we could not stay in the building as Marie had no authorisation to be subletting the apartment as an airbnb. We were on the side of the street with 5 young children until 20 15. When the locksmith came he said he would have to break open the lockbox to gain access to the key and he was not given permission by Marie to do so. We received a full refund from booking.com. We had to find alternative accommodation, which was at extra expense to ourselves due to the lateness of the hour. A totally unacceptable, distressing and unnecessary experience and we saw a review from a former guest the next day saying that the lockbox was broken so it should have been fixed before any further guests arrived. To add insult to injury a £200 deposit was taken, we didn't even get to stay in the apartment and are still waiting for a full refund of said deposit.

Great location, but inventory needs refreshing

Great location and fun views of the football stadium. Good size rooms. The parking space was great.

The apartment is for 6 people, but the table only fits 4 and one of those chairs was broken. Clearly glasses had been broken and not replaced - only 3 wine glasses and one of those cracked, only 4 tumblers. Struggled to use the oven as all the markings on the oven had been rubbed off. Struggled to get the keys as I couldn't open the key safe initially. Only managed to get the key by using something else to prise the safe open. Not ideal situation as had small children with me.

Great flat, good spaces, no working hob!!

Well located, good room sizes

The kitchen is dated and the hob didn’t work, which we hadn’t realised until after preparing a meal. A previous occupant had dropped a glass and the living room hadn’t been fully cleaned - one of us got glass in our foot.

Adaquate left with a feeling of being scammed after the deduction of money from our deposit.

The location was good. It’s very handy for both the city centre and Co op live. Which is why we booked a family trip for a concert. It was lovely to have a common space to chat as well as our own bedroom.

The apartment is well used and needs painting. It was clean but grubby lots of scuff marks in the walls ect. The beds are small doubles one very tight for 2 adults. The bed linen towels and duvets are in need of replacements and you can tell they have been well used. 2 hours after we left I received a message stating £20 was being deducted from my £200 deposit. Asking me what happened to the stained towel. Before I replied to them I checked my credit card and the money was deducted before they even received a response from me. I accept there was some make up and tan on towels but nothing that would not have come out in the wash. There is no way they would have had time to complete the laundry in the time they messaged me so just saw some make up on the towel and immediate charged for it. I am 45yrs of age and have never had this happen before. Disappointing!

This apartment is a complicated one. From Los Angeles,New York ,Paris down back home London and then this Manchester one. I’ve never in my 15 years with booking.com experience such a horrible and inhuman treatment in this Manchester apartment. I paid for 5 nights but ended up sleeping for 3 nights. The management in the first place said it wrong that the apartment owner leases the apartment out on booking.com and is been warm many times, this prompts up when the water heater was not working and we seek the assistance from one of the security downstairs and a lot was said about the whole building. This building is dilapidated infrastructure wise, the lift is smiling of smoke and the students next to my room were smoking only God knows what. Imagine me with 3 children smiling all this rubbish with no hot water for them to shower. We contact the apartment owner for repairs but No action was taken. I had to book a hotel for my family to go and shower. This apartment spoiled the Summer. I will want my 2 Nights money refunded back to me. Booking.com could see on there platform, I had booked hotels within the space I was supposed to be in this Manchester apartment.

Flat was lovely, very clean and all the facilities you would need. So useful to have parking space in city centre accommodation. Staff were really good with communication throughout.

It is very tidy. Very good location. Walkable distance to Manchester Picadilly station.very clean 3 bathrooms. Very good kitchen. The building is quiet and well secured.

Fantastic and beautiful place to stay in Manchester

Very spacious, comfortable beds, hosts were great at communicating

Only thing was the fridge was very small for a group of us staying for two weeks. We struggled to make our food fit.

It was probably my best airbnb apartment i booked

The property was really nice with good beds, what suprised me was there was three showers and three toilets which was really good. There was alot cultury and cleaning products. There was two tvs with netflix. It was really accessible to go to the town centre and even on an uber its like £5 to go to the centre and back. Also you have access to gym ! Theres dominos, costa and a corner shop around the corner too.

The fridge wasnt that big and the apartment is on the top floor. Thats about it

The properly was large to size and spacious. The private car park was very safe for my car and easy access too. The property was clean all around.

The quality of property was exceptional. The Security Man at the time of arrival Mo is a diligent Officer that understands security matters and is additionally courteous.

The lift in the apartment malfunctioned more than 3 times during the stay.

15 min walk to Main Street of Manchester

It’s not easy to find and the car park is hard to find as well. I asked them not to put me up high as I am scared of heights and they put me in the top floor
